The latest news of the progress of the explorations of what is now regarded by scientists as not only the oldest archeological discovery in the United States, but one of the most valuable in the world, which was mentioned some time ago in the Gazette, was brought to the city yesterday by G.E. Kinkaid, the explorer who found the great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip from Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado, in a wooden boat, to Yuma, several months ago.

According to the story related to the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the archeologists of the Smithsonian Institute [1], which is financing the expeditions, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human hands, was of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt, tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out by the translation of the tablets engraved with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile, and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the fictionist.

A Thorough Examination

Under the direction of Prof. S. A. Jordan, the Smithsonian Institute is now prosecuting the most thorough explorations, which will be continued until the last link in the chain is forged. Nearly a mile underground, about 1480 feet below the surface, the long main passage has been delved into, to find another mammoth chamber from which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes of a wheel.

Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854 feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles which have never been known as native to this country, and doubtless they had their origin in the orient. War weapons, copper instruments, sharp-edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased to thirty or forty persons.

Mr. Kinkaid's Report

Mr. Kinkaid was the first white child born in Idaho and has been an explorer and hunter all his life, thirty years having been in the service of the Smithsonian Institute. Even briefly recounted, his history sounds fabulous, almost grotesque.

"First, I would impress that the cavern is nearly inaccessible. The entrance is 1,486 feet down the sheer canyon wall. It is located on government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty of trespass. The scientists wish to work unmolested, without fear of archeological discoveries being disturbed by curio or relic hunters.

A trip there would be fruitless, and the visitor would be sent on his way. The story of how I found the cavern has been related, but in a paragraph: I was journeying down the Colorado river in a boat, alone, looking for mineral. Some forty-two miles up the river from the El Tovar Crystal canyon, I saw on the east wall, stains in the sedimentary formation about 2,000 feet above the river bed. There was no trail to this point, but I finally reached it with great difficulty.

Above a shelf which hid it from view from the river, was the mouth of the cave. There are steps leading from this entrance some thirty yards to what was, at the time the cavern was inhabited, the level of the river. When I saw the chisel marks on the wall inside the entrance, I became interested, securing my gun and went in. During that trip I went back several hundred feet along the main passage till I came to the crypt in which I discovered the mummies. One of these I stood up and photographed by flashlight. I gathered a number of relics, which I carried down the Colorado to Yuma, from whence I shipped them to Washington with details of the discovery. Following this, the explorations were undertaken.

The Passages

"The main passageway is about 12 feet wide, narrowing to nine feet toward the farther end. About 57 feet from the entrance, the first side-passages branch off to the right and left, along which, on both sides, are a number of rooms about the size of ordinary living rooms of today, though some are 30 by 40 feet square. These are entered by oval-shaped doors and are ventilated by round air spaces through the walls into the passages. The walls are about three feet six inches in thickness.

The passages are chiseled or hewn as straight as could be laid out by an engineer. The ceilings of many of the rooms converge to a center. The side-passages near the entrance run at a sharp angle from the main hall, but toward the rear they gradually reach a right angle in direction.

The Shrine

"Over a hundred feet from the entrance is the cross-hall, several hundred feet long, in which are found the idol, or image, of the people's god, sitting cross-legged, with a lotus flower or lily in each hand. The cast of the face is oriental, and the carving this cavern. The idol almost resembles Buddha, though the scientists are not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that this worship most resembles the ancient people of Tibet.

Surrounding this idol are smaller images, some very beautiful in form; others crooked-necked and distorted shapes, symbolical, probably, of good and evil. There are two large cactus with protruding arms, one on each side of the dais on which the god squats. All this is carved out of hard rock resembling marble. In the opposite corner of this cross-hall were found tools of all descriptions, made of copper. These people undoubtedly knew the lost art of hardening this metal, which has been sought by chemicals for centuries without result. On a bench running around the workroom was some charcoal and other material probably used in the process. There is also slag and stuff similar to matte, showing that these ancients smelted ores, but so far no trace of where or how this was done has been discovered, nor the origin of the ore.

"Among the other finds are vases or urns and cups of copper and gold, made very artistic in design. The pottery work includes enameled ware and glazed vessels. Another passageway leads to granaries such as are found in the oriental temples. They contain seeds of various kinds. One very large storehouse has not yet been entered, as it is twelve feet high and can be reached only from above. Two copper hooks extend on the edge, which indicates that some sort of ladder was attached. These granaries are rounded, as the materials of which they are constructed, I think, is a very hard cement. A gray metal is also found in this cavern, which puzzles the scientists, for its identity has not been established. It resembles platinum. Strewn promiscuously over the floor everywhere are what people call "cats eyes', a yellow stone of no great value. Each one is engraved with the head of the Malay type.

The Hieroglyphics

"On all the urns, or walls over doorways , and tablets of stone which were found by the image are the mysterious hieroglyphics, the key to which the Smithsonian Institute hopes yet to discover. The engraving on the tables probably has something to do with the religion of the people. Similar hieroglyphics have been found in southern Arizona. Among the pictorial writings, only two animals are found. One is of prehistoric type.

The Crypt

"The tomb or crypt in which the mummies were found is one of the largest of the chambers, the walls slanting back at an angle of about 35 degrees. On these are tiers of mummies, each one occupying a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench, on which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords. Some of the mummies are covered with clay, and all are wrapped in a bark fabric.

The urns or cups on the lower tiers are crude, while as the higher shelves are reached, the urns are finer in design, showing a later stage of civilization. It is worthy of note that all the mummies examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being buried here. This leads to the belief that this exterior section was the warriors' barracks.

"Among the discoveries no bones of animals have been found, no skins, no clothing, no bedding. Many of the rooms are bare but for water vessels. One room, about 40 by 700 feet, was probably the main dining hall, for cooking utensils are found here. What these people lived on is a problem, though it is presumed that they came south in the winter and farmed in the valleys, going back north in the summer.

Upwards of 50,000 people could have lived in the caverns comfortably. One theory is that the present Indian tribes found in Arizona are descendants of the serfs or slaves of the people which inhabited the cave. Undoubtedly a good many thousands of years before the Christian era, a people lived here which reached a high stage of civilization. The chronology of human history is full of gaps. Professor Jordan is much enthused over the discoveries and believes that the find will prove of incalculable value in archeological work.

"One thing I have not spoken of, may be of interest. There is one chamber of the passageway to which is not ventilated, and when we approached it a deadly, snaky smell struck us. Our light would not penetrate the gloom, and until stronger ones are available we will not know what the chamber contains. Some say snakes, but other boo-hoo this idea and think it may contain a deadly gas or chemicals used by the ancients. No sounds are heard, but it smells snaky just the same. The whole underground installation gives one of shaky nerves the creeps. The gloom is like a weight on one's shoulders, and our flashlights and candles only make the darkness blacker. Imagination can revel in conjectures and ungodly daydreams back through the ages that have elapsed till the mind reels dizzily in space."

An Indian Legend

In connection with this story, it is notable that among the Hopi Indians the tradition is told that their ancestors once lived in an underworld in the Grand Canyon till dissension arose between the good and the bad, the people of one heart and the people of two hearts. Machetto, who was their chief, counseled them to leave the underworld, but there was no way out. The chief then caused a tree to grow up and pierce the roof of the underworld, and then the people of one heart climbed out. They tarried by Paisisvai (Red River), which is the Colorado, and grew grain and corn.

They sent out a message to the Temple of the Sun, asking the blessing of peace, good will and rain for people of one heart. That messenger never returned, but today at the Hopi villages at sundown can be seen the old men of the tribe out on the housetops gazing toward the sun, looking for the messenger. When he returns, their lands and ancient dwelling place will be restored to them. That is the tradition.

Among the engravings of animals in the cave is seen the image of a heart over the spot where it is located. The legend was learned by W.E. Rollins, the artist, during a year spent with the Hopi Indians.

There are two theories of the origin of the Egyptians. One is that they came from Asia; another that the racial cradle was in the upper Nile region. Heeren, an Egyptologist, believed in the Indian origin of the Egyptians. The discoveries in the Grand Canyon may throw further light on human evolution and prehistoric ages.

Canyonitis: Seeing evidence of ancient Egypt in the Grand Canyon
http://www.philipcoppens.com/egyptiancanyon.html
Is there, within the Grand Canyon, an enigmatic system of tunnels that is evidence of an ancient Egyptian voyage to America? Is it all bogus? Or is the truth most likely somewhere in between?

Philip Coppens

On April 5, 1909, a front page story in the Arizona Gazette reported on an archaeological expedition in the heart of the Grand Canyon funded by the Smithsonian Institute, which had resulted in the discovery of Egyptian artefacts. April 5 is close to April 1 – but then not quite… so perhaps the story could be true?
Nothing since has been heard of this discovery. Today, over five million tourists visit the Grand Canyon each year. You would thus expect that if anything was hidden in the canyons, it would thus since long have been uncovered. However, most tourists only spend around 3 hours of time at the canyon, usually visiting the legendary South Rim view around mile 89, where most of the best and oldest tourist facilities are located. Furthermore, some have said that the entire discovery has since become the centre of a major cover-up, apparently in an effort to maintain the old status quo, which is that the ancient Egyptians never ventured outside of the tranquil waters of the river Nile.

The original story goes that the team found an underground network of tunnels, high above the Colorado River, containing various ancient artefacts, statues and even mummies. A major discovery, no doubt about it. Impossible to slip off the archaeological radar. Still, the Smithsonian Institute will report it has no records on the subject. So what happened? To find out, there is only one guide: the article itself. Though the article was anonymous, it did identify some of the archaeologists involved: “under the direction of Prof. S. A. Jordan", with Smithsonian-backed adventurer G. E. Kinkaid, who then relates his findings.
But the story gets weirder when the Smithsonian stated that it had no Kinkaid or Jordan on record. In one enquiry from 2000, the institution replied: “The Smithsonian Institution has received many questions about an article in the April 5, 1909 Phoenix Gazette about G. E. Kincaid and his discovery of a 'great underground citadel' in the Grand Canyon, hewn by an ancient race 'of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt.' […] The Smithsonian's Department of Anthropology, has searched its files without finding any mention of a Professor Jordan, Kincaid, or a lost Egyptian civilization in Arizona. Nevertheless, the story continues to be repeated in books and articles.” There is room for a cover-up, of course, as some have argued. The files do not necessarily have to set within that department’s and the reference to the Phoenix Gazette rather than Arizona Gazette could be a simple error, or an escape valve that is so often present in official replies engineered to debunk. Stories like “the CIA Division X has no record” often means that Division Y is the one who has that record.

So, there is no Professor Jordan, and Kinkaid himself was more than difficult to pin down. However, on March 12 of the same year, the Gazette had reported on an earlier phase of Kincaid's adventure: “G. E. Kincaid Reaches Yuma.” Here, Kinkaid is identified as being from “Lewiston, Idaho”; he “arrived in Yuma after a trip from Green River, Wyoming, down the entire course of the Colorado River. He is the second man to make this journey and came alone in a small skiff, stopping at his pleasure to investigate the surrounding country. He left Green River in October having a small covered boat with oars, and carrying a fine camera, with which he secured over 700 views of the river and canyons which were unsurpassed. Mr. Kincaid says one of the most interesting features of the trip was passing through the sluiceways at Laguna dam. He made this perilous passage with only the loss of an oar." The account is factual enough and seems to just that: fact. The article concludes: "Some interesting archaeological discoveries were unearthed and altogether the trip was of such interest that he will repeat it next winter in the company of friends." Less than a month later, the same newspaper seemed to continue their story where they had left it off: Kinkaid was now talking about his “interesting archaeological discoveries”, which consisted out of a series of tunnels and passages with a cross chamber near the entrance, containing a statue: "The idol almost resembles Buddha, though the scientists are not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that this worship most resembles the ancient people of Tibet." He also stated that he had found an unknown gray metal, resembling platinum, as well as tiny carved heads, scattered on the floor. Urns bore "mysterious hieroglyphics, the key to which the Smithsonian Institute hopes yet to discover." In another room he found mummies: "Some of the mummies are covered with clay, and all are wrapped in a bark fabric."
Again, the account is quite factual. Idols “resemble” Buddha, rather than “are” Buddha. The worship “resembles” that of Tibet, not “is”… Kinkaid is trying to use analogies to explain his discovery. It is the anonymous author of the article who makes the connection with ancient Egypt and lets his mind float to one of the biggest discoveries of all time. Still, the newspaper apparently never followed up the story.

Though the Smithsonian involvement is therefore either proof of a cover-up (as some have claimed) or they are telling the truth, this does not mean that the entire story is a hoax, or that the newspaper fabricated the story. “Kinkaid” may have existed, and may have inflated his credentials. Alternatively, he may have made the entire thing up. It may be a hoax, but by whom?
The newspaper reported rather factually about it. It may have been their hoax, in an effort to sell more papers, but if so, you would expect to hear more about it, including announcements like “more to come in the following edition”, whetting the public’s appetite.
The anonymous author may have fabricated the story, as he perhaps could not fill the entire newspaper. Perhaps… Which leaves Kinkaid. In his first account, we read how he stated that he has made archaeological discoveries, but these seem to have occurred all on his own. Furthermore, it is clear that he has made numerous photographs. We need to stress that the discovery of the underground network occurred before the first story was written. In fact, it appears that the discovery was made roughly four to six months prior the article. But in the second story, we learn Kinkaid apparently did not travel alone, but was helped by a professor from the Smithsonian. Also, it seems he did not make any photograph of his discovery. Though he claims that the access was very difficult, you would expect Kinkaid to have made some photographs of the general area.
In the Phoenix (Arizona) Gazette article of April 5, 1909 it is stated that Kinkaid "brought the story" of the "underground citadel" "to the city" (Phoenix and the Gazette) "yesterday" (April 4, 1909) after having "discovered" the site "several months ago". It is clear that as far as the newspaper was involved, they were reporting on recent information. But why Kinkaid had not included his discovery in his original account, back in March, is more enigmatic. Even though the newspaper may have wanted to wait to run it, it is clear that the delay is entirely Kinkaid’s.

With no traces of Kinkaid, though, did he actually exist? Jack Andrews has underlined that Kinkaid may have been a real person. In the newspaper report, Kinkaid mentions that he was “looking for mineral”: "I was journeying down the Colorado river in a boat, alone, looking for mineral." The Canyon was a known source of minerals, including copper. But, in 1908, the year of Kinkaid’s expedition, President Theodore Roosevelt had made the Canyon in a National Forest, closing it for any mining or prospecting activity. Andrews has furthermore shown that the area in which he had allegedly found the cave was a well-known area for prospecting. So he could be real… even though perhaps the newspaper got his name wrong… A spelling mistake could send any researcher off the right track, resulting in the conclusion that a person did not exist.

So, what about the cave? It is a fact that the Canyon has many holes and caves, most of which are discovered by hikers. A clear favourite for an Egyptian connection is the area around Ninety-four Mile Creek and Trinity Creek has sites with names like Isis Temple, Tower of Set, Tower of Ra, Horus Temple, Osiris Temple, etc. In the Haunted Canyon area are such names as the Cheops Pyramid, the Buddha Cloister, Buddha Temple, Manu Temple and Shiva Temple.
One book, Ancient Secret of The Flower of Life (Vol. II, page 302), claims that two backpackers, on their way to Isis Temple, found a pyramid, made from the native rock. Once at Isis Temple, they claimed to have seen several cave entrances. They stated that the cave entrances were at a height of 800 feet, and the two climbed up, hoping to get into what looked like the most promising cave. But instead they found it had been sealed off with rocks. They felt the entrance was man made and that there was a 6 foot circular pattern hewn into the ceiling.
It is unknown whether this is an actual discovery, or more “talk”. Irrelevant, Isis Temple is more than 40 miles from the location given in the newspaper article. Furthermore, it is but one of numerous buttes in the Grand Canyon named after ancient Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Chinese and Nordic gods and goddesses. The origin of the rather esoteric naming is nearly as mysterious as the canyon itself, and has given rise to more than a little speculation as to what early explorers may have found there. But it may also be a perfect memory of its time, when there was a major fascination with all things Egyptian-Indian.

Stanton Cave, a well-known cave containing ancient Indian artefacts, inside the Grand Canyon

Jack Andrews claims that he has known “of this [Kinkaid’s] location since 1972. I have held the secret since then.” In June 2001, he felt it was “the proper time to reveal the location.” But he later adds that he has never discovered the “physical location” of this claim. From his argument, it seems as if he has “seen” the site in a dream or vision, but has never set foot inside it. However, using Kinkaid’s scant information about the site, “forty-two miles up the river from the El Tovar Crystal canyon...” This is not very precise. Andrews believes that the cave is in a deep river gorge, known as Marble Canyon, which is accessible “by either arriving there in a boat or float trip, or on foot from the rim of the Little Colorado river gorge, on the Navajo reservation.” Andrews spells out some other options, all which seem quite manageable to get there… but not necessarily inside the cave. Kinkaid wrote that "the entrance is 1,486 feet down the sheer canyon wall." Definitely not for the faint-hearted, and the question is how Kinkaid himself succeeded in the task.
Andrews concludes: “I think the "cave" described in the headline story of the Arizona Gazette, April 5, 1909 and its fantastic underground installation was, and still may be, located above an approximate six mile stretch of the Colorado River in Marble Canyon, at the border of Marble Canyon and the Navajo Nation above an area near Kwagunt Rapids.” Is it possible that it remains to be discovered? One ranger said that "that area of the park is very remote and to this day [2000], our knowledge of the area is rather slim, and quite frankly, it is not an area we patrol regularly […] the area is seldom visited."

Though sceptics have given Andrews a lot of slack, others have just run wildly with the story. It is one thing to interpret the Smithsonian’s denial as evidence of a cover-up, what David Icke made of the story is quite another thing. In The Biggest Secret, he writes – verbatim: "In 1909 a subterranean city which was built with the presicion of the Great Pyramid was found by G. E. Hincaid near the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It was big enough to accomidate 50,000 people and mumified bodies found were of oriental or possibly Egyptian origin, according to the expedition leader Professor S. A. Jordan. My own resaerch suggests that it is from another dimension, the lower fourth dimension, that the reptilian control and manipulation is primarily orchestrated."
The story continues to grow and grow, now harbouring a sizeable population. But Icke then adds his own “research”, using the story as “evidence” for his reptilian control claims.

So, where does this leave us? Perhaps the answer is somewhere in the middle of this controversy. With so many caves, some must contain something. Kinkaid never said it was Egyptian – he just made comparisons. It could simply have been native…
The first culture to occupy the valley were the Anasazi, who entered the region around 500 AD, hunting small game as well as raising corn and squash for their livelihood. By 1000 AD, their culture had advanced to the point where they had begun to develop their own distinctive pottery style, advanced agricultural methods, and a unique form of dwelling known as the "pueblo".
From Mankind’s most ancient past, we have favoured burials in caves. Furthermore, many cultures have made caves in sheer cliff faces, specifically if they are facing towards the setting sun, into highly sacred sites, often cemeteries. Examples of this exist in the French Pyrenees, but whether it is the Cretan canyon known as the Valley of the Dead or the African Dogon, it is a common denominator that caves in cliffs were favoured, since remote antiquity. Why should the Grand Canyon be any different? And if not, then it is entirely possible that human remains were found… and perhaps continue to be found.
But rather than Egyptian or Tibetan in origin, I would argue that they are most likely remnants of the Anasazi. Anasazi groups, widely scattered across the southern Colorado Plateau and the upper Rio Grande drainage, defined their similarities – and their differences – largely in terms of their multi-storied, multi-room pueblo "Great Houses" or "cliff dwellings". It is what tied them together, even though the individual groups themselves often bore more differences than similarities.
The site is indeed close to a Navajo centre, which are one of the living descendants of the Anasazi, which means “ancient ones” in Navajo. In the Canyon de Chelly is the so-called Mummy Cave, the last known occupied Anasazi site in the area. Situated in a large, protected alcove about 300 feet above the canyon floor, the two adjacent caves harbour the remnants of a multi-storied dwelling consisting of around 55 rooms and four ceremonial circular structures, or kivas, possibly dating back to 1050.
It was for the two ancient bodies found entombed at this site that an early Smithsonian expedition named the canyon, "del Muerto" — "of the Dead" in Spanish. Here, we therefore have something that is virtually identical to what Kinkaid alleges: a cave, in a cliff, with a complex series of rooms, containing mummies… even the Smithsonian is involved. The one major difference is that this site is known, whereas Kinkaid’s isn’t. But what Mummy Cave equally proves, is that there is no need for Tibetans or Egyptians, but that the local Anasazi are most likely its occupants… if it existed… and why not ? Mummy Cave may look very different from what we imagine Kinkaid was describing… But with so little known about Kinkaid…

Though this story may or may not be reality, examples such as Mummy Cave have since proven that Kinkaid’s story may not be as important as many believe it is. Even if Kinkaid and Jordan were real people, the sensationalist flavourings of the report are all due to the anonymous author. And even if he was reporting truthfully, within the current climate, we can imagine why people could have easily mistaken an ancient culture with a local Indian culture. It is merely because the Indians were believed to have no level of sophistication whatsoever that almost de facto, the site had to be “Old World”… In the 21st century, we know better.

Strewn promiscuously over the floor everywhere are what people call "cats eyes”, a yellow stone of no great value. Each one is engraved with the head of the Malay type.

The Hieroglyphics

"On all the urns, or walls over doorways, and tablets of stone which were found by the image are the mysterious hieroglyphics, the key to which the Smithsonian Institute hopes yet to discover. The engraving on the tables probably has something to do with the religion of the people. Similar hieroglyphics have been found in southern Arizona. Among the pictorial writings, only two animals are found. One is of prehistoric type.

The Crypt
Image

Professor Jordan is much enthused over the discoveries and believes that the find will prove of incalculable value in archaeological work.

Imagination can revel in conjectures and ungodly daydreams back through the ages that have elapsed till the mind reels dizzily in space.”

G.E. Kinkaid: The Real Indiana Jones?
Rixon Stewart – Autumn 2000
http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=84
The Grand Canyon and the Hidden History of the Ancient America's

Like they say, truth is sometimes stranger than fiction and that is particularly the case with G.E. Kinkaid. His exploits rival those of the fictional Indiana Jones but, more to the point, we suspect that Speilberg actually based his film character on the real life G.E. Kinkaid. It’s a time honoured Illuminati technique: take a true story, twist it, add some fantastic falsehoods and then sell it back to the public. In the process the truth gets buried even deeper beneath the beguiling guise of ‘entertainment’ whilst a sizable fortune is made.

A classic Illuminati sleight-of-hand

Like many other media moguls Speilberg is well in with the Illuminati and as such he is privy to much that is kept hidden from the general public. Which is why we can’t help feeling that Speilberg was inspired to create his fictional character by the real life Kinkaid; indeed the story of the real life Kinkaid and his discoveries is every bit as extraordinary as Speilberg’s fictional character. In some ways even more so because what Kinkaid discovered in the Grand Canyon challenges everything that modern history is built upon. Which is why the Illuminati want to keep it under wraps.

The first white man born in Idaho, Kinkaid was an explorer and hunter for most of his life and in this capacity worked for the Smithsonian Institute for more than 30 years. One day, whilst travelling alone down the Grand Canyon, he happened to notice some stains in the sedimentary formation about halfway up the canyon wall. Being on a mineral survey at the time he decided to take a closer look and, with some difficulty, finally reached the discoloured sediment.

However he discovered more than discoloured sedimentation. Above a shelf, which hid it from view from the river, was the mouth of a cave, which on further investigation proved to be the entrance to an immense cavern. According to Kinkaid there were steps from the caves entrance leading to what at one stage must have been the level of the river. Securing his weapon he explored several hundred feet further until he came to a “crypt” where he discovered some “mummies”; he then gathered a number of relics, shipped them back to the Institute in Washington and notified his employers of his discovery, which thereafter led to a much broader exploration.

Had it not been for the fact that Kinkaid, excited by his discovery, then approached the local Phoenix Gazette we may never have heard of what he had stumbled upon. On Monday April 5th, 1909 though the Gazette published a detailed and extensive front-page report based on Kinkaid’s account. According to the report the explorer had discovered a large hall “several hundred feet long”, in which was found a Buddha like statue . . . “sitting cross-legged, with a lotus flower or lily in each hand . . . Surrounding this idol are smaller images, some very beautiful in form; others crooked necked and distorted shapes, symbolical, probably, of good and evil.”

Elsewhere were found . . . “On all of the urns, or walls over doorways, and tablets of stone . . .mysterious hieroglyphics . . .Similar hieroglyphics have been found in southern Arizona. Among the pictorial writings, only two animals are found. One is a prehistoric type.”

A number of passageways, hundreds of feet long, were discovered leading to numerous rooms of “30 to 40 feet square”. Whilst the passages themselves . . . “are chiselled or hewn as straight as could be laid out by an engineer.”

The article continues that . . .“Upwards of 50,000 could have lived in the caverns comfortably.” And this website would suggest that whoever they were the inhabitants of this underground citadel were vegetarians for: “Among the discoveries no bones of animals have been found, no skin, no clothing . . .Many of the rooms are bare but for water vessels. One room, 40 by 700 feet, was probably the main dining hall, for cooking utensils are found here.”

One of the largest chambers discovered, says the report, was a crypt with walls slanting back at about 35 degrees. According to the Gazette’s account these held “tiers of mummies, each one occupying a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench, on which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords . . . The urns or cups on the lower tiers are crude, while as the higher shelves are reached the urns are finer in design . . . It is worthy to note that all the mummies examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being buried here. This leads to the belief that this” …the report concludes, was a ... “warriors barracks.”

Or a monastery perhaps? Or maybe the home of some religious order?

Either way we may never know because ever since the reports publication the Smithsonian has consistently denied any knowledge of Kinkaid or his alleged discoveries. And as already mentioned those areas of the Grand Canyon with Egyptian or Hindu sounding names are now off limits to hikers and tourists and even to Park personnel themselves.

Unfortunately, this is not the only instance where the Smithsonian has been accused of concealing discoveries that challenge the accepted orthodoxy and this has occurred not only in the field of archaeology either. In particular the work of scientific visionary Nicola Tesla has been consistently side-lined and ignored by the Smithsonian. It is beyond the scope of this article to detail exactly how but suffice to say it is yet another example of how two streams of knowledge are beginning to emerge: one an officially recognised body of knowledge which buttresses Illuminati power and which the Smithsonian subscribes to and supports. The other stream has nothing to do with Illuminati power and is thus probably closer to the truth.

Finally, as to why the Illuminati should want to suppress these discoveries we refer you to Orwell’s famous quote: “He who controls the present controls the past”. After all if these discoveries were brought to broader public attention people might start to question other accepted doctrines, and worse still, they might even start thinking for themselves and that would seriously undermine Illuminati power. For when people start to think for themselves they are not so easily manipulated and beguiled and consequently no longer in the thrall of the Illuminati. Which is why the powers that be are so keen to suppress these findings.

World's Before Our Own 2

Housed in a warehouse in Ica, Peru, is a collection of stone tablets which carry pictures portraying advanced medical practice. The tablets were first seen and recorded by Father Simon, a Jesuit missionary who accompanied Pizarro in 1525. Amongst other scenes portrayed are pictures of what appear to be Caesarian surgery and blood transfusions as well as the use of acupuncture needles and detailed images of what appear to be open heart surgery. The tablets are not just anomolies: they open a Pandora's box of questions and challenge everything we have been taught about our past.

It is becoming increasingly evident that our notions of human history are not simply mistaken but in need of a total overhaul. The evidence is beginning to mount to the point where it can no longer be ignored; all across the planet archaeological finds are being made that are distinctly at odds with the conventional notions of humanity’s past and point to a revolution in the way we see ourselves and our origins.

Over the last two centuries various archeological finds have been unearthed which do not fit into the conventional time-scale of pre-history; these so-called archeological anomalies have largely been buried in site reports or left to gather dust in museum storage rooms. However the sheer volume of these finds and the very nature of some of them calls for another look at the worlds before our own.

Academic consensus maintains that the ancestor of modern man emerged one million years ago. Whilst modern man, homo sapiens, only emerged as the dominant planetary life form some 40,000 years ago; this is generally the line held by conventional archeologists and anthropologists, in spite of the fact that there is considerable evidence to the contrary.

Thus we have the case of the metal spheres found by miners in the Western Transvaal, South Africa. Over the past few decades miners in the area have come across metal spheres, often grooved, in layers of sedimentation estimated at 2.8 billion years old. According to Roelf Marx, curator of the Klerksdorp museum where they are kept: “The spheres are a complete mystery. . .They’re nothing like I have ever seen before.” Moreover the spheres are so hard that they cannot be scratched, even with a hard metal point. In 1979 several were closely examined by J.R. McIver, professor of geology at the University of Witwatersrand in Jo’burg and Andries Bischoff, geology professor at Potschefstroom University. What they found only deepened the mystery; averaging 1 to 4 inches in diameter the spheres are usually coloured steel blue with tiny flecks of white fibers embedded in them. They were found to be made of a nickel-steel alloy which does not occur naturally, and is of such a composition that excludes any meteoric origin. Quite simply they do not fit into any conventional prehistoric time-scale.

Likewise an early Paleolithic skull on display in London’s Natural History Museum would seem to defy all conventional archeology. Dated at 38,000 years old and excavated in 1921 in modern Zambia, the skull bears a perfectly round hole about a third of an inch in diameter on its left side. Opposite the hole, the cranium is shattered, and reconstruction of the fragments show that the skull was smashed from the inside out, as if from a bullet wound. Forensic experts who have examined the skull all agree that the cranial damage could only have been caused by a high speed projectile. So the fact that the skull was excavated from a depth of 60 foot, of mostly lead rock, only deepens the mystery.

Just as baffling is the case of an iron pot found in a block of coal. Thus according to an affidavit made by Frank J. Kenwood in 1912: “While I was working in the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, Okla, in 1912, I came upon a solid chunk of coal which was too large to use. I broke it with a sledge hammer. This iron pot fell from the center, leaving the impression or mould of the pot in the piece of coal. . .I traced the source of the coal and found that it came from the Wilburton, Oklahoma, Mines.” According to Robert O. Fay of the Oklahoma Geological Survey, the Wilburton mine coal is about 312 million years old.

In a similar vein, so to speak, we have this account first published in Brad Steigers ‘World’s Before Our Own: “In the year 1928, I, Atlas Almon Mathis, was working in coal mine No. 5., located two miles north of Heavener, Oklahoma. This was a shaft mine, and they told us it was two miles deep. The mine was so deep that they let us down into it in an elevator . . .They pumped air down to us, it was so deep.” After blasting the miners came across what appeared to be some concrete blocks, according to Mathis: “These blocks were 12-inch cubes and were so smooth and polished on the outside that all six sides could serve as mirrors. Yet they were full of gravel, because I chipped one of them with my pick, and it was plain concrete inside.”

“As I started to timber the room up,” Mathis continued, “it caved in; and I barely escaped. When I came back after the cave-in, a solid wall of these polished blocks was left exposed. About 100 to 150 yards farther down our air core, another miner struck this same wall, or one very similar.” The coal in the mine was probably carboniferous which, according standard dating methods, would mean that the wall was at least 286 million years old.

Thereafter the mining company officials pulled the men out of the mine and forbade them to speak about what they had found. In a strange twist of fate the men were then sent to the Wilburton mine mentioned previously. According to Mathis the miners there spoke of having found “a solid block of silver in the shape of a barrel . . .with the prints of the staves on it.”

As far back as the eighteen hundreds artifacts were being unearthed which defied conventional archeology. For example in 1871, William E. Dubois of the Smithsonian Institute reported finding several man-made objects whilst drilling a well in Marshall County, Illinois. Using a “common ground auger” a number of coin like objects were recovered from a depth of about 114 feet. At that depth the Illinois State Geological Survey estimates the deposits were made “sometime between 200,000 and 400,000 years ago.”

Dudois concluded that one coin in particular could only have been made in a machine shop. Noting its uniform thickness, he said the coin must have “passed through a rolling mill; and if the ancient Indians had such a contrivance, it must have been pre-historic.”

.W. Moffat, who was working with Dubois at the time, reported to the Smithsonian that other anomalous objects were found whilst drilling in nearby Whiteside County, Illinois. At a depth of 120 feet, workmen discovered “a large copper ring or ferrule, similar to those used on ship spars at the present time. . . They also found something fashioned like a boat-hook.” Moffat concluded that: “There are numerous instances of relics found at lesser depths. A spear-shaped hatchet, made of iron, was found embedded in clay at 40 feet; and stone pipes and pottery have been unearthed at depths varying from 10 to 50 feet in many localities.”

The Illinois State Geological Survey noted in 1984 that the age of deposits at 120 feet in Whiteside County varies greatly; in some places, they might only be 50,000 years old, whilst in other places one would find Silurian bedrock 410 million years old.

And still, the evidence of world’s before our own continues to grow.

On October 8,1922, The New York Sunday American ran a prominent feature by Dr W.H. Ballou: “while he was prospecting for fossils in Nevada,” Ballou wrote, “John T. Reid, a distinguished mining engineer and geologist, stopped suddenly and looked down in utter bewilderment and amazement at a rock near his feet.” What Reid had actually stumbled on was, it appeared, a fossilized footprint. According to Ballou it was, “apparently, a shoe sole which had turned into stone . . .there was the outline of at least two-thirds of it , and around this outline ran a well defined sewn thread which had, it appeared, attached the welt to the sole. Further on there was another line of sewing” . . .and . . “an indentation, exactly such as would have been made by the bone of the heel rubbing upon and wearing down the material of which the sole had been made.”

Reid then took the fossil to New York where it was examined by a number of eminent scientists. Their conclusions were unanimous, in effect “it was the most remarkable natural imitation of an artificial object they had ever seen.” The scientists were also agreed that the rock formation was Triassic in origin whilst Dr W. D. Mathew of the American Museum of Natural History declared it a remarkable imitation, “a freak of nature.”

Despite Mathew’s dismissal, Reid persisted: “I next got hold of a micro-photographer and an analytical chemist” wrote Reid: “The micro-photo magnifications are twenty times larger than the specimen itself, showing the minutest detail of thread twist and warp, proving conclusively that the shoe sole is not a resemblance, but is strictly the handiwork of man. Even to the naked eye the threads can be seen distinctly . . .I will add that at least two geologists . . .have admitted that the shoe sole is valid, a genuine fossilization in Triassic rocks.” It should be added that the Triassic period is now generally dated at around 213 - 248 million years ago.

Some of the archeological anomalies discovered, like the above, are quite prosaic and certainly not the product of a hi-tech civilization. However some very obviously are the vestiges of a technically very advanced culture; like the minute spiral shaped objects unearthed in the Eastern Urals which bear a remarkable resemblance to cutting edge nano-technology, as detailed in earlier stories.

Submerged ruins off the coast of Okinawi, Japan.

Some other anomalies are quite literally monumental however, such as the ziggurat found off the coast of Okinawi, Japan. Over 600 feet wide and 90 feet high, the edifice was initially thought to be a natural formation on its discovery, nearly 10 years ago. However closer inspection prompted a reassessment. Thus according to Professor Kimura, a marine geologist at the University of Okinawa: “This could only have been done by a people with a high degree of technology . . .There would have been some sort of machinery involved to create such a huge structure.”

The Yonguni underwater ruins Okinawi, Japan.

Elsewhere similar evidence has been unearthed which points to scientific and technical knowledge existing long before it was previously assumed. In 1938, Dr Wilhelm Kong, an Austrian archeologist, was rummaging around the basement of a Baghdad museum when he came across a six inch high pot of clay. The pot contained a cylinder of sheet copper which was soldered with a 60-40 lead-tin alloy, whilst the bottom of the cylinder was a crimped-in copper disk sealed with bitumen. Another insulating layer of bitumen sealed the top and held in place an iron rod suspended into the centre of the copper cylinder. With a background in mechanics, Dr Kong immediately recognized that what he was looking at was, in effect, a battery. What was unusual though was that it had been unearthed from an archeological site dated 2000 years old, whilst other similar artifacts had been recovered from sites dated as far back as 5000 years. These latter were unearthed from Sumerian remains in southern Iraq and dated to at least 2,500 BC. That’s long before Michael Faraday is said to have discovered electromagnetic induction and the laws of electrolysis in the early 1800’s.

So the million dollar question is: were these artifacts the forerunner of Faraday’s discovery . . . or the vestiges of a technically advanced civilization? And if these artifacts were the remnants of an advanced civilization then there follows the Billion dollar question: what exactly happened to this civilization? Could it have been that it was engulfed in some kind of nuclear Armageddon? Evidence indicative of nuclear explosions has been discovered across the planet in the form of “fused green glass” found deep in the strata of various archeological digs. Usually only found at nuclear testing sites, the glass has been unearthed at various archeological digs as far apart as Gabon, Africa, the Gobi Desert and Scotland.

Is it possible that a previous civilization was destroyed by a nuclear conflict? Could it be that a handful of survivors emerged from the ruins of a nuclear apocalypse and then, over millennia, slowly rebuilt civilization? Or could there be another reason for these anomalies. Whilst we accept that the above may well be a possibility we would suggest that there maybe other explanations.

We would suggest that shifting crustal displacements could be a critical factor here. This theory, first postulated by Charles H. Hapgood and subsequently backed by no less than Albert Einstien, was outlined by Richard Noone in the ‘Hammer and the Pendulum’, featured previously. More than that though we would suggest that this scenario has occurred not just once but on a number of previous occasions; indeed what we are looking at is a cyclic pattern, a pattern that has embossed itself across the face of unrecorded human history.

As Richard Noone described in his article the event would be dramatic and cataclysmic, triggering a geological Armageddon; across the planet there would a wave of earthquakes, floods and volcano’s as the planets rigid crust suddenly shifted and tore itself asunder. And for those few who were not killed in the initial shocks there would only be a desperate struggle to survive in the ruins of a shattered civilization. Stripped of everything that they had taken for granted they would be left with nothing but memories of the former civilization. And then a few generations later there would little else but stories of a golden age and a great flood that had destroyed everything in its path. As the millennia passed so too would the memories and stories fade, until one day millennia later there would be little else but legends of a fabulous civilization and stories of a mythical flood. And maybe, just maybe, a few archeological anomalies that would one day baffle future scientists.

The Hidden History of the Promised Land

It may sound a little over the top but it’s really no overstatement to say that much in our modern world is based on falsehood and fabrication. We are told, for example, that Columbus ‘discovered’ America in 1492, yet there is plenty of evidence to suggest that others had visited America before Columbus: including visitors from ancient Egypt, Phoenicia and medieval Europe. Despite this modern authorities continue to push the line that “Columbus discovered America.”
Image
In point of fact Columbus himself never even set eyes upon America; the closest he got to the mainland of North America was Puerto Rica. However in the aftermath of Columbus’s voyage John Cabot sailed from Bristol, England; which in turn opened the way for the first colony in Jamestown, Virginia and thus allowed the English to claim America as their own. Yet there is considerable evidence that suggests that others from different cultures preceded Cabot and Columbus. So one is forced to ask: why, when there is much to suggest that others from different cultures preceded Columbus, don’t we hear more about this possibility being investigated? Could it be that certain powers have a vested interest in keeping our real history under wraps?

Whatever the answer the fact remains that a great deal has been unearthed which is completely at odds with conventional notions regarding the origins of what we know today as America. In fact according to some contemporary authorities, the Native Americans encountered by the early settlers from England were not what they appeared to be. They were indeed native to the Americas but they were not its original inhabitants, who according to various tribal legends, had disappeared eons before in a series of cataclysms.

Of course this is so at odds with the dictates of modern science, history and archaeology that one would expect it to be rejected out of hand, as indeed it has been. This is not so easily done though with a landmark tower in Newport, Rhode Island. Curiously the tower is built in the style of a medieval look out and has been dated back to the fourteenth century. As if to emphasize its antiquity Italian navigator Giovanni de Verrazano recorded the tower whilst mapping the coastline in 1524, marking its location as an existing “Norman Villa”. Similar evidence can be found in Westford, Massachusetts, where a rock engraving can be found depicting a figure dressed like fourteenth century knight. Intriguingly the figure carries a shield portraying the emblem of a ship following a single star.

Of course this may simply be dismissed as a modern day hoax but this can’t be so easily done with Scotland’s Rosslyn Chapel; where clear depictions of ears of corn or maize and aloe cactus, both unknown in medieval Scotland, can be found on some of the archways and ceilings. These stone carvings are an integral part of the Chapel, which was only completed in 1486; that’s a full six years before Columbus is said to have embarked on his voyage of discovery. The standard line is that both maize and aloe cactus were only found after Columbus had sailed West. Thus, according to authors Knight and Lamar Rosslyn Chapel amounts to clear . . . “evidence that the men who instructed the masons of Rosslyn Chapel must have visited America at least a quarter of a century before Columbus.”

All of which prompts one to ask: if the actual discovery of the America’s could have been concealed for so long what more could be hidden? The answer to that, as you shall see, is a whole lot more.

These and other finds are given further credence by the very history of the Knights Templar. And it’s a history that adds an even more intriguing twist to the story of discovery of America. The Order of the Knights Templar was originally founded in Jerusalem in 1118, when nine French Knights asked King Baldwin to be allowed to protect pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land. Their request was granted and significantly they were also granted permission to stay in the ruins of Solomon’s Temple; for it was here, according to some researchers, that they made discoveries that would ultimately change the very course of history.

Once established in the ruins they began excavations that yielded untold treasures, both in terms of material wealth and even more precious knowledge. It was through this knowledge that the original Templar’s obtained an insight that allowed them to question much of orthodox Christianity. An insight through which they recognized that the established Church had misinterpreted much of the original Christian teaching: including the Virgin Birth, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and reincarnation. According to writer and researcher David Hatcher Childress: “To the Templars, the true church, one that taught mysticism, reincarnation and good works was being suppressed by a dark power that called itself the one true faith.”

And just in case you thought that Christianity never taught anything about reincarnation, take note: prior to the Council of Nicaea the idea of reincarnation was an integral part of the Christian faith. That ended however with the first Council of Nicaea in A.D.325. Convened by Emperor Constantine of Rome the Council effectively settled various theological disputes and ratified what was to become Holy Roman Law, the official version of the word of God. In the process the very notion of reincarnation as part of the Christian faith was consigned to the waste bin of history.

Armed with this new knowledge the power and influence of Order of the Knights Templar rapidly increased. By the mid thirteenth century the Order owned about nine thousand castles and manors across Europe. Along with material acquisition came a reputation that left many in Medieval Europe in awe. The Templar’s distinctive white surcoat, emblazoned with a red cross, was always seen in the thick of battle; indeed they quickly established a reputation comparable to modern fighting elites such as Britain’s SAS, the U.S. Marines and Airborne or Russia’s Spetnaz.

More than simply being a political and military power though they also became a force to be reckoned with in the fields of cultural and metaphysical endeavour too. For it was the Templar’s who instigated the first stonemasons guilds and introduced new building methods with skills inspired, in part, by what they had learned in Jerusalem. Prior to these European buildings had been built for practicality and defence; generally plain structures with little in the way of inspirational design but that too were about to change. In the space of a few decades, Europe saw the appearance of a string of new churches and cathedrals with high vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses and dazzling stained glass windows. All of which was to lay much of the groundwork for the future Renaissance and the Templar’s were very much the driving force behind it.

Yet by then the Templar’s power and influence had increased to such an extent that they were seen by Rome as a danger to itself, a challenge to the official word of God. So on Friday, October 13th, 1307 the Church of Rome made its move and at the same time bestowed on Friday 13th the sinister connotations which have remained ever since. With the blessing of Pope Clement V, King Philip of France drew up a list of charges against the Order; falsely accusing them of everything from homosexuality, abortion, necromancy and use of the black arts. On the dawn of Friday 13th his forces seized, interrogated, tortured and burned the captured Templars. Many escaped though, including the Templar Fleet, which sailed to safe haven in Scotland. At the time Scotland was ruled by Robert the Bruce and at odds with England so the Scots readily accepted help from anyone who was willing to offer it. In return the Knights Templar would play a critical role in the Battle of Bannockburn. Just as the Battle hung in balance the Scots, outnumbered two to one by the English, were suddenly reinforced by a contingent of mounted Knights; with long flowing beards and a bold red cross emblazoned on their white tunics the newcomers helped swing the battle in the Scot’s favour..

The Templar ships were not anchored for long in Scotland though; a large part of the fleet, consisting of 12 ships and over 300 men, sailed on across the Atlantic to take refuge in America.

America? You may ask, how did they know about America?

Well according to Knight and Lomas, the Masonic authors of The Hiram Key, the original Knights Templar may well have acquired key manuscripts whilst resident in Solomen’s Temple in Jerusalem. Amongst them manuscripts from the Mandaean sect which believed that John the Baptist was the true Messiah and that the souls of the good went to a land far across the sea, a wonderful land, a promised land marked by a star called . . . “Merica.” Which calls to mind the rock engraving of a medieval knight in Westford, Massachusetts; the engraved knight carries a shield portraying the emblem of a ship following a single shining star.

An engraved stone from the Burrows Cave find. Note the man's beard, a feature unknown among native Americans, and the sailing ship to his right

It is therefore quite possible that while resident in Solomen’s Temple the first Templar’s found reference to new lands across the sea as well as the name “le Merica.” Which in turn led their descendents to its fabled shores. As if to emphasize this recently discovered ruins in Patagonia revealed an ancient pier and docks dressed with stone slabs bearing the Templar cross. Which in turn has prompted some investigators to speculate that the Templar’s may have journeyed further south from North America.

Yet even if this was the case, then the Knight’s Templar were not the first, not even the first from Christian Europe, to visit America. Long before Columbus is supposed to have discovered the Americas Vikings and early Celtic Christians may well have trod the shores of North America, and before them others even more ancient. The discovery of various Roman coins around the U.S has led some researchers to conclude that America was the final destination for a wave of people who came not as colonists but as refugees. The coins, which have been found largely around the Mississippi-Arkansas-Ohio-Missouri river systems, cover the later periods of Rome and particularly the reigns of Antoninus Pius, Gallienus and Emperor Tetricus. A period of Roman rule that Gibbon describes as a time of “uninterrupted …confusion and calamity.” So it’s quite possible that these coins were left by what were in effect boat people seeking refuge from a disintegrating Empire.

What’s significant here though is the fact that these finds have not strictly been confined to the Mississippi-Arkansas-Ohio-Missouri river systems. Although largely confined to the vicinity of these river systems Roman coins have been found across North America: from Arkansas to Alabama, from Missouri to Oklahoma. Maybe, indicating a wave of refugees? Or, a series of exploratory ventures? Or maybe even both?

An engraved stone from Burrows Cave. Note the Roman style battering ram at the ship's prow.

True to form modern academia and its various experts have largely ignored these finds or simply brushed them aside as hoaxed. Thus dismissing such tantalising glimpses of the past as an Egyptian-minted Gallenius coin, found in a stream bed by Geology students near Black Mountain, North Carolina. Or the even more fascinating “Rio Grande Tablet.” Written in a style current in the Roman colony of Libya around 300AD, the tablet proffers a poignant insight into the past. Inscribed on it is a prayer to the Roman deity Mithras, dated the 6th year of an unnamed Emperor’s reign, a prayer that asks for aid and relief for a sick and lost party. Whether deserters or early explorers some researchers have concluded that the Rio Grande Tablet is the work of a lost Libyan detail of the Mithras worshipping Roman army.

The notion that elements from Rome’s Carthaginian colony in Libya may have visited America has been further underlined by the Burrow’s Cave find. Amongst the thousands of artefacts in the collection is the depiction of a Negroid face carved on a stone tablet in a distinctly Roman style. Predictably it has been virtually ignored by the various authorities. After all the idea that North African’s were visiting North America over a thousand years before Columbus challenges much of written history.

So Burrows cave has either been dismissed as a hoax or ignored by modern academia, yet in the words of Ancient American magazine it is the archaeological “discovery of the century.” The story of Burrows cave began in 1982 when Russell Burrows was out searching for American civil war artefacts in southern Illinois. Using a common metal-detector he claims to have discovered an underground chamber full of ancient artefacts. Numbering more than seven thousand the artefacts largely consist of stones inscribed with the portraits of ancient Egyptians, Carthaginians, Romans and Hebrews; many of which were inscribed with script resembling Phoenician or ancient Semitic writing. Although many of the relics found in Burrows Cave have been examined Burrows himself has not as yet revealed the exact location of his find, partly because of the derision that greeted his claims. However he has promised to reveal the exact location of the find in the near future and when he does we will update you.

In the meantime though it must be said that if you thought the idea of Knights Templar or even Romans in America was outlandish then we suggest that you take a deep breath. For as we researched this article the evidence emerged which is even more at odds with the conventional notions of American history. For while the ancient Americas may well have played host to many visitors from many different lands there is one in particular who stands out. An individual whose presence in America, if in fact he were there, is likely to shatter many beliefs: historical, cultural, metaphysical and religious.

Across the Americas, north and south, there are oral traditions and stories that are remarkably similar in overall theme. They tell of the coming of a pale man, some even say a white man; known variously as the Dawn God, the Peacemaker, the Pale One and the East Star Man: he was given this latter name because according to some stories he had come across the sea from the east. In other words he had come across what we know today as the Atlantic from either Europe or North Africa.

Whatever he was called though his arrival left a deep impression on those peoples and cultures he visited. Prior to his appearance some tribes in the America’s, more particularly in south or Central America, had practised blood sacrifice. The arrival of the Pale One, or Quetzalcoatl, as the Maya knew him, changed that. He taught new rituals and ceremonies some of which remain to this day; such as the smoking of sacred pipes, which for some tribes replaced blood sacrifice.

Apart from having pale skin he was also distinguished from the indigenous Americans by the fact that he was bearded, a facial feature that is unknown amongst Native Americans. Moreover he is said to have dressed completely differently from indigenous Americans, in long flowing robes and sandals

Some tribes called him the Son of the Great Spirit whilst others refer to him as the son of Yod-hey-vah. Sound familiar? Well this latter name was a phonetic pronunciation he taught as was the name he taught the Algonkin of the Great Lakes when they asked his name. He replied that names meant nothing to him; so they then asked what he was named in childhood when he had lived across the waters. That name, which even today they struggle to pronounce was, he told them: Chee-Zoos, God of the Dawn Light.

The parallels between what is written in the Bible and the stories told by various Native American peoples are uncannily similar. For example, the tribes of Oklahoma tell of a man they call the Healer, who chose from amongst the native people twelve disciples. He told them that he was born across the ocean, in a land where all men were bearded. In this land he was born of a virgin on a night when a bright star shone in the heavens. And, as if to celebrate his birth the heavens opened and down came winged beings of great beauty chanting in praise of Chee Zoos, God of the Dawn Light.

Engraving from the Burrows Cave find.

Likewise the Dacootah recall the coming of the pale faced Healer. According to them his name remains sacred and during his time with them he taught rites of purification and . . . baptism.

In the same way the Tribes around the Great Lakes speak of the coming of the Prophet; a pale, bearded man who was, according to their tribal elders, the son of the Great Spirit. A Prophet who appeared to them as a white man and who could heal the lame and sick with his touch.

Their medicine men say that: “all that he touched was enchanted with His god-like power of healing.”And that . . . “He came alone. He organized the churches, changed the temples, taught the priesthood.”

Elsewhere, across the America’s there are similar tales and they all tell the same story: of a god-like white man who travelled across the America’s teaching and healing. At the time of his arrival legend has it that there was a great city situated where the Missouri and the Mississippi run to the Southern sea. One morning it is said that the Prophet came there in a long boat, used by the traders. “The streets,” the old legends say, “were covered with flowers strewn in homage on the path before Him as He walked toward the Temple.”

All of which is reminiscent Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the week before he was crucified, when adoring crowds spread palm leaves before his approaching steps. The Native stories continue:

“Greatly beloved now was the Pale God, known as the Lord of the Wind and the Water. His every move bespoke his kindness: His very touch revealed His Divinity; and before Him all the people bowed down. Through the rows of worshippers He moved …in quiet solemnity, holding up His hand in blessing – that hand with the strange palm marking, for through it was engraved the True Cross which He had taken as His Symbol”.

He stayed for some time, say the legends: “though often he rode away with the merchants, or more often walked to distant villages, holding in His hand His great staff, and stopping to speak with all the people, from the aged to the little children.”

Of course you may object that these are only stories, the legends and tales of a simple and unsophisticated people. And of course you are right, but it doesn’t end there because these stories have been partly substantiated by artefacts found within or in the vicinity of mounds built by the ancestors of modern Native Americans.

The so-called Mound Builders flourished in North America between 200 B.C. and 500 AD. Little is known about them except that they built earthen mounds, often in the shape of birds and animals. With the arrival of settlers from Europe many of these mounds were levelled to make way for new farmland. In the process the mounds and their contents were scattered or ploughed under; then in the early 19th century strange relics were unearthed as new roads were built and forests cleared, and this occurred largely around Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota, areas of much previous mound building.

Amongst the relics recovered have been engraved depictions of the crucifixion and other biblical motifs. Yet despite the fact that many of these discoveries were accompanied by sworn affidavits and written testimony the archaeological authorities of the day largely dismissed them as “fakes.” A response that continues to this day.

We honestly don’t know whether Christ was physically located in the Americas or simply made an appearance, so to speak, spiritually and thereby inspired the stories, artefacts and inscriptions. Or indeed whether they were inspired by the tales of long forgotten Christian missionaries. Certainly Rudolph Steiner spoke of initiates and mystics around the planet being aware of the events in Palestine at the time of the crucifixion. So this proposition is certainly a possibility but whatever the real explanation it offers a fascinating alternative view of history and Christianity itself.

What’s more, as individuals, we may soon be able to explore this possibility for ourselves. According to various tribes, before his departure, the East Star Man said that one day he would return, not in body but in spirit. At this time, he said, the world would be a dark place where evil would reign, however, the pure in heart would perceive his return. In other words what he is said to have told Native Americans is exactly what modern Christians would understand as the “second coming.” So if you can lift your head up from the feeding trough of consumer society, or the conveyor belt called work, you may just notice something in the air.

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TREASURES IN THE GRAND CANYON

Suppressed Archeological Information and Metaphysical Paradox ?
Barry McEwen
TETRA-MATRIX@prodigy.net
Phoenix, Arizona November 30, 2000

On April 5th, 1909, there appeared a front page story in the Arizona Gazette. It told of an archeological expedition in the heart of the Grand Canyon funded by the Smithsonian Institute. (a full transcription of the article can be found at: http://www.keelynet.com/unclass/canyon.txt) It is a rich story of finding a labyrinth of man-made tunnel systems high above the Colorado River, a virtual citadel filled with ancient artifacts, hieroglyphs, armor, statues of deities and even mummies. Anyone contacting the Smithsonian Institute will receive a polite "no records found" reply to an inquiry about their supposed role in the Grand Canyon.

The following narration shows how I came to be convinced of an exact location in the Grand Canyon that is a key to this story (regardless of whether the newspaper article is a hoax or not), and contains mathematical proof. This story also reveals an ancient cartographic code that led me to this conclusion, and the meaningful coincidences that unfolded as I pursued this mystery. The location is known as "Isis Temple" and is paramount in a well kept secret that is just now being uncovered in ways far richer and more important than material wealth. The cherished gem of Arizona, the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, contains a legacy and a link to a history known only by a few; suppressed not only by greed and politics, but by a forgotten code hidden right beneath our very feet. It is all beginning to come to light now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I first came across the information about the newspaper article in 1998 via the www. To satisfy my curiosity, I went to the Phoenix Public Library, found the article on microfilm and made a few photo copies of it. I didn't give it too much thought at the time, other than mentioning it from time to time to people who attend free speaking engagements and classes I offer. As a 30 year independent researcher in the field of sacred geometry, (sometimes known also as hyper-dimensional geometry, living geometry, and alchemical geometry) and other related subjects, I found the topic relating to Egypt synchronistic, since a lot of my studies revolved around the ancient schools of thought and geometry of sacred sites and temples of Egypt. Like others, I thought it was rather odd, if indeed the article was not a hoax, that evidence of ancient Egyptians would be found in Arizona, of all places!.....
After all, the Egyptians did not explore the Americas, everyone knew that, and it was not taught in any school. We thought this also of the ancient Romans, until ancient Roman headgear, armor, swords, coins and other artifacts were found just North of Tucson, not far from Interstate 10 !

Now that the subject has come up about suppressed information, if indeed that is what it is, there is a well researched book of 914 pages by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson titled Forbidden Archeology, which can open anyone's' third eye to a history of mankind that has never been taught, except in those 'mystery schools' so well cloaked in myth, secrecy and ridicule. Some good information can be found by searching the archives of www.dailygrail.com also.

Then in October of 2000 I came upon a another web site that had lots of information and photos of Egyptian hieroglyphs found a hundred years ago in Australia ! The hieroglyphs were on the stone wall next to a cave entrance, and told of ancient Egyptian explorers getting lost and stranded, left to die in Australia. (see: www.ozemail.com.au/~classblu/egypt/egypt.htm)

At around the same time I happened to read in a book titled Ancient Secret of The Flower of Life, Vol. II, page 302, the story of two backpackers who ventured into the Grand Canyon. What they claimed to have found first, while on their way to a location known as Isis Temple, (see photo at: www.hitthetrail.com/mikespages/isis.htm [Link broken, see: http://www.cyberspaceorbit.com/text/gcanyon.htm) was a rather large pyramid made from the native rock. Once at Isis Temple, at an elevation of about 800 feet, they claimed to have seen several cave entrances, just as reported in the newspaper article. They also noticed that they all seemed to be sealed shut or destroyed, as if to keep everyone out. (the question here arises, why deliberate sealing of caves in such a remote, hard to access, area?) Because they were also expert rock climbers, they climbed the 800 feet to the most promising looking cave entrance. Upon reaching the entrance they discovered that it too had been sealed off several feet in with native rock. They did notice, however, that the entrance seemed to be man made and that there was a 6 foot circular pattern clearly hewn into the ceiling. This story was told to the author of the book, and from the context of the material presented in the book and from the nature of the author's character, of whom I am familiar, I could not for the life of me imagine why such a story would be fabricated and told to him unless it were absolutely true.

And yet, Isis Temple (which can be seen from the South Rim visitors areas) is at least 40 miles from the location given in the newspaper article. So, if the newspaper article was not a hoax, and Isis Temple was the real location, the other location could have been misinformation to keep people away. Then again, if the newspaper article was a hoax, what then had the two backpackers stumbled upon ? And why were extremely remote cave entrances sealed ?

A question arises here also: why are there so many geographical locations in the Grand Canyon named after Egyptian and Hindu deities?

Then, approximately two weeks later, on October 13, channel 10 (one of our local t.v. stations), did a short segment on their weekly t.v. news magazine show about the 1909 article and some local people actively looking for it out at the Canyon. I contacted the producer of the segment and left my name and phone number, telling him to give it to a couple of the people he had interviewed, as I could supply them with this information regarding Isis Temple. At the very least they could go with good telescopes and look for cave entrances from the Rim to confirm their existence. Simple.

As of yet no one has called me back.

I plan to check the condition and strength of my old telescope and go there myself soon. A severely damaged disc in my back prevents me from an actual backpacking trip to Isis Temple, as the trip is extremely arduous and requires at least six days of backpacking in some of the most challenging terrain on the planet.

The next thing I did was call the "Back Country" information line (520-638-7875) at the Grand Canyon, where permits are bought for backpacking and extended hikes, both on and off trails. The lady was very talkative, polite and helpful. She even suggested two books I should read on possible routes to Isis Temple since there are no trails to it. Then I casually brought up the subject of possibly exploring caves I had heard about at Isis Temple and asked her if she could confirm their existence. Her reply was a simple, but emphatic "NO". Then a long pause. Then very curtly she said the Park Dept. was about to engage in a Canyon-wide research project into the bat population and habitation, to make sure they were not being endangered. Everyone was to stay out of caves she said. That ended our conversation. Interesting, but not conclusive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the meantime, this whole thing was getting under my curious skin a bit. I decided to approach the subject a little differently. I was going to see if there was a geometrical connection between Isis Temple and the Great Pyramid of Giza. Why the Great Pyramid? From my knowledge of sacred geometry I knew it to be a central figure in a planetary grid system. As a former, avid backpacker myself, and having some knowledge of cartology, it took me no time to get the exact longitude and latitude of the center of Isis Temple. I then began searching on the www for the exact coordinates of the center of the Great Pyramid in Egypt.

That's when things started to turn REALLY curious and informative.

My web search brought me more than I could have hoped for. It led me to the work of a man named Carl Munck. (see: www.pyramidmatrix.com) Over ten years ago he had started doing a similar thing that I was attempting, but he had started at Stonehenge, trying to find a longitude/latitude relationship with the Great Pyramid. His continued work led to the discovery of what is now called Archeocartology, and the key to the system is using the Great Pyramid as Prime Meridian rather than Greenwich . What he had done was eventually find a whole code system that the ancient's knew about and had used in determining where to place sacred temples, and sacred sites. It is simply known as THE CODE, or Code of the Ancients. He has several books out on the subject, a newsletter and several videos.

From THE CODE we get factual, mathematically provable evidence that all ancient sites, megaliths, temples, stone circles, effigies and certain natural formations and vortexes across the entire face of the globe are very precisely located on a global coordinate system in relation to the Great Pyramid. ( I know, this is hard to believe, but read on) Not only that, but an ancient numerology system known as Gematria (used by Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Babylonians, Romans and others of the ancient world) is used in the manipulation of the numbers that relates the numbers to other key locations, mathematical constants such as Pi and the radian, and the positions of the sites themselves given in the geometry of their physical construction.

GEMATRIA and THE CODE can be considered to be "whole brain" methodologies. In other words,
both bi-lateral functions of the brain must be employed to reach applicable and functional results. Or, the left, rational/verbal/lineal, side of the brain and the right, intuitive/imaginative/non-lineal, side must work together, in much the same way as when viewing stereo-gram images, sometimes known as 'Magic Eye' pictures also. (Those pictures that were popular a few years back that looked like just a mass of colored dots when first seen, but after gazing in a particular manner for a while a complete 3-D picture or scene 'popped' out to your vision. Usually children and young adults have an easier time seeing the pictures because they are not yet as completely absorbed with just left brain, rational, thinking habits, and their right brain, creative, side is more flexible.)

THE CODE of Carl Munck dovetails perfectly with the planetary grid system and the related Platonic Grid Lines found by Ivan Sanderson, Bruce Cathie, William Becker and Bethi Hagens. The world grid system (http://www.ascension2000.com/convergence/9918.html) is commonly known as the Unified Vector Geometry 120 Polyhedron. Interestingly enough, THE CODE also is applicable to the Planet Mars, when the North/South Prime Meridian passes exactly through nose of the famous "Face" in the Cydonia area and the "D & M Pyramid".

Still with me? I hope so, because this is all mathematically verified.

Aside from the obvious question that this arouses regarding how such ancient people could have knowledge of such a system and implement if for thousands of years, (which, because there is no short answer for that question, I will not address here) there is also the question of how such feats were accomplished with so much accuracy without the aid of modern technology, like our Global Positioning System (GPS) which uses satellite telemetry and computer accuracy to achieve what the ancients accomplished with ... what ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When this sort of question arises in my talks and classes, I pull out an object to demonstrate the dynamics of geometry and simplicity. It is a solid object with no moving parts or batteries, and it fits in your hand. It has a unique property about it that no mind on Earth, that I am aware of, can explain. (and it has been under heavy scrutiny by some of the best minds of engineering and physics at University levels) It absolutely defies one of the basic laws of physics and motion. (and this is not my imagination! Just ask my wife.)

People usually gasp and don't believe their eyes when they first see what this object does. And it does this without high technology. I show it to them over and over again, and let them try it for themselves, and it always works. And the key to the object is in its proportions, its shape, its geometry...the mathematics involved. Plain and simple. (Ask me and I'll show it to anyone at any time, anyplace. It is not my invention and it has been around for almost 30 years, yet few people know of it.)

If you know the key to something, or have the something that employs the key, optional methodologies are available to use. It is obvious the ancients had optional methodologies in finding, plotting and implementing building sites based upon a longitude and latitude not all that dissimilar to our own. It is also obvious from the data that the ancients new exactly where the equator was and employed it.

Another device that should be mentioned is a survey and navigational tool designed by Crichton Miller, who received a patent on it just recently in the United Kingdom. The device is nothing more than two pieces of straight wood formed into a cross with a pivot point where they meet, a plumb line coming down from the pivot point, and a semi-circular scale (similar to a protractor) attached. It looks very much like a Celtic Cross. It is very accurate and requires no batteries. (see: www.dailygrail.com/
misc/cem130700.html for complete details ) A book about the device is due in the Spring of 2001.
It is believed this device, or similar, was used in surveying for the Great Pyramid, and also employed as a navigational tool for ocean-going explorations. And speaking of accuracy, as well as complexity of problem solving capabilities with no complex technology or batteries, think for a minute of the slide rule and the abacus.

Anyway, back to the story here....

Well, now I had the longitude and latitude of the Great Pyramid, and a mathematical system for finding a relationship between Isis Temple and the Great Pyramid. But, I got lazy here. I contacted Michael Lawrence Morton, who I had found through another web site . ( http://www.greatdreams.com/gem1.htm )
( also http://hometown.aol/marscode/giza.html) I gave him the coordinates for Isis Temple and let him do the math and find the mathematical correspondences. Since Michael was very familiar with THE CODE, also familiar with all the mathematical constants and numerous other sites and their mathematical connections, and had also discovered and applied THE CODE to the local stars and astronomy (the Archeo-Sky Matrix ), I felt confident in his abilities and expertise.

In his words, Isis Temple is a "...major....major site !!!" This he could safely say with confidence because the numbers related to so many other major sites, including the Great Pyramid, and with numbers typically accurate to complete whole numbers, to within 7 and 8 decimal places, and decimal harmonics from 7 to 8 decimal places !

The following is a brief synopsis of just some of the mathematical connections to Isis Temple. The search is still ongoing. Statistics relating to certain "dates of occurrences" and the Gematria of a personal nature that were found have been left out. The math proof of the following findings is attached at the end of this narration, with full credit graciously attributed to Carl Munck and especially Michael Lawrence Morton, without whom this search would have come to a dead halt.

Isis Temple is mathematically connected to:

* slope angle of the Great Pyramid
* grid point value of the Great Pyramid
* derived height of Great Pyramid with capstone included
* decimal harmonic of the East longitude of the Sphinx at Giza
* decimal harmonic of the West longitude of the Chephren Pyramid at Giza
* decimal harmonic of the tangent of arc-distance from Earth's equator to either pole
* radius of Moon
* ratio of radius of Stonehenge's Sarsen Circle and Radian (deg)
* decimal harmonic of generic area of a circle
* grid point value of the star Sirius, circa 2000 a.d.
* grid point value of the star Regulus, circa 2000 a.d.
* East latitude, in arc-min., of the "Face" at Cydonia on Mars

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this point, it doesn't matter if Isis Temple is the location mentioned in the 1909 article. At this point it doesn't matter if the article was a hoax or not. Maybe it doesn't matter if archeological information has been withheld from the public. Maybe it doesn't matter if there are or are not sealed caves in Isis Temple. But I, for one, continue the search. There is still a vast treasure to behold that makes that which we carry in our pocket quite moot when compared to the big picture.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Archeocartographic findings of ISIS TEMPLE based upon THE CODE of Carl Munck and the
ARCHEO-SKY MATRIX Code, mathematics and correlations found by Michael Lawrence Morton.
location of Isis Temple N. of Equator and West of Great Pyramid, Giza:
36 deg 08 min 27 sec N.
143 deg 16 min 14.8 sec W.G.

36 x 8 x 27 = 7776 N.
143 x 16 x 14.8 = 33862.4 W.G.

33862.4 / 7776 = 4.3547325 G.P. (grid point)

4.353957151 (G.P.) = Pi x 1.177245771 x 1.177245771
( 1.177245771 = ratio of the radius of Stonehenge's Sarsen Circle in British feet and Radian (deg.)
.....1.177245771 = 57.29577951 / 48.6693441...also the decimal harmonic in arc-seconds of the West longitude of the Chephren Pyramid at Giza, the East longitude of the Sphinx at Giza, and the tangent of arc-distance, adding to actual statute mileage figure, in statute miles, from Earth's equator to either pole....6214.85528 )

4.353957151 (G.P.) x 248.0502134 = 1080
(248.0502134 = grid point value of Great Pyramid.....1080 = mean radius of Moon in statute miles, and 1080 is also the feminine gematrian number for alchemical fusion where 1080 + 666 = 1746 )

33862.4 (W.G) x 57.29577951 x 57.29577951 = 10.31324031
( 10.31324031 = decimal harmonic of the square arc degrees of a circle, the generic area of a circle,
where Pi x 57.29577951 x 57.29577951 = 10313.24031)

10.31324031 = 4.3539557149 (G.P.) x 2.368705056
( 2.368705056 = grid point value of the binary star Sirius, circa 2000 a.d. )

270 / 4.353957149 (G.P.) = ( Pi x 19.7392088)
( 270 is average number of human gestation days...divided by Isis's Temple grid point value of
4.353957149 = the grid point value of the binary star Regulus, star in the heart of the Lion constellation Leo, or 19.7392088 x Pi. Also, 270 = 9 x 30, and 30 is the grid point value of the intersection of 7th Ave. and Indian School Rd. in Phoenix, Arizona, which is where, on March 13, 1997, 8:30 p.m., the
"Phoenix UFO" was witnessed to hover for 4 minutes. March 13, 1997 is 5764 days before December 21, 2012 a.d., end of the Mayan calendar. 5764.166073 is the derived original full height, including capstone, of the Great Pyramid in regular British inches. )

30 / 4.353957149 (G.P.) = 6.890283706
(6.890283706 = arc-minutes East of Mars Prime Meridian = latitude of "The Face" at Cydonia. )

Part 2 Ancient Egyptian Treasure in Grand Canyon

Alice Dorothy at the Abyss December 11, 2000

Barry McEwenn TETRA-MATRIX@prodigy.net

Michael Lawrence Morton Milamo@aol.com

Alice naturally exclaims "Curiouser and curiouser!". While Dorothy
proverbially says "We aint in Kansas anymore!"

The first article has been posted on three different web sites that
I am aware of so far. (if you missed that one, the links are given below,
as well as additional links and the full correct link to Michael's web
sites) By the response of the email Michael and I have been receiving
it looks like we hit a nerve. So we continue with lots more math data to
pour through and decipher, and some very interesting and enlightening
information from some of the readers, some of which we can share
( and some of which cannot be released yet at the request of the responders).
A radio interview is also in the works.

Let me first restate something for clarity sake so as not to confuse
my intent or my stand in relation to certain aspects of this research.
I regard that there is no conscious conspiracy, per se, by the Smithsonian
Institute or the government, but rather that it is a condition of society
in which information is filtered for the purpose of self-fulfilling prophecy
and as a survival instinct. But then, I have been wrong before...just ask
my wife.

Anyway...where to begin?

One email I received gave me a link to some information regarding the
1909 Phoenix Gazette newspaper article and the supposed Smithsonian connection
that was researched a bit by David Childress.
http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/g ... anyon.html
Although interesting, what struck me was the photo at the top of the page...it
was ISIS TEMPLE; in fact, the exact same photo that I had given
as a link in the last article. It struck me that of all the photos that
could be used of a portion of the Grand Canyon, and of all the different
photos of Isis Temple, it was the exact same one. One prone to the
values of meaningful coincidence will file this away for later use. For
me it was yet another 'prompt' to keep focussing on Isis Temple.
Are we really on to something here?

Another email response was from someone who suggested he would rent
a double-seated ultra-light aircraft, take me along and we could do a photo
recon of Isis Temple. Hmmm.

I quickly wrote back explaining that the Grand Canyon is strictly a
no-fly zone area. (really!) The only exception is rescue helicopters. (which
I do not care to prove)

Another email informant told of an area in the United States where a
film crew from Discovery t.v.

was looking for yet another ancient site of some kind near where he
lives. It too is linked to Egypt, but in a vastly different way. Maybe
more on this later, after the site has been found and the claim to it is
secure by this man who knows where it is and wants to take steps to protect
it, rather than exploit it. Just another tall story? By the amount of verifiable
evidence this man gave me it seems to be legitamate so far.

One man emailed that he had realized a connection between the height
of the Great Pyramid and the ancient Hebrew calendar.

I just now, at this writing, received permission from a contact to release
some information from him regarding a vast subterranian system
in the United States that he has been confirming and researching with hi-tech
equipment for over 10 years. I will bring that to light in Part 3 of this
series. It will blow you away.

Last weekend I went to my tiny cabin in Northwestern Arizona. One reason
was to check out my old telescope, the other reason being to spend uninterrupted
time with some geometry papers I had just received from a man I consider
to be a master geometer. He had just mailed me around 250 pages of privately
printed, unpublished material that he has compiled during 20 years of research.
Needless to say I feel very fortunate to have made such a valuable contact.
This was not an email contact, but rather, someone I had tried for a year
or more to try to contact. The timing of receiving the material and the
information contained therein was extremely valuable.

So, my telescope proved to be too weak for viewing Isis Temple from
the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. My cabin is located such that
I can see the crest of a hiway around 6 miles distant. Pointing at
that spot, and viewing cars passing over the crest, I realized not only
was this telescope not powerful enough, but that extremely clear atmospheric
conditions must exist to see anything with any amount of clarity (you would
have to be pretty lucky, or coincidental, to find such clarity at the Grand
Canyon these days I am told) and also, the lighting conditions would have
to be such that it would enhance any cave entrance you might spot.

By the time I returned on Sunday, the amount of emails from Michael
on further CODE information was piling up quickly. We had decided
early on that the research would continue if I were to supply him with
more co-ordinates from, what seemed to be, key geographical locations within
the Canyon. Isis Temple was just the first. I had gone to Phoenix's largest
map store and purchased the best map I could of the Grand Canyon. It turned
out to be 3 feet tall and 5 feet long, and a scale of 1:62.5k.

Not the most accurate scale, I know, but I wanted one map to work with,
not several.

This I mounted on a large piece of heavy cardboard and placed in my
garage and began finding locations and getting the co-ordinates. This map
will also be valuable when I begin to work on the geometry aspect of this
area from the positions I am finding.

Starting with Isis Temple, I began locating other positions that had
Egyptian names. They were all in the same general location. I then fanned
out and began picking other sites with Oriental, Hindu, Arthurian, and
Roman names. Here is a list of the names we will be working with. It should
also be pointed out that all of these locations are in the heart of, and
comprise the heart of, the Grand Canyon area (the largest, widest area
where tourism flourishes on both the North and South rims), and that Isis
Temple is very well centered among all of the the sites listed below,
which seems suspiciously symbolic. Also, these are basicly the only
names of geographical locations in the heart of the Grand Canyon.

Isis Temple, Osiris, Tower of Set,
Horus, Cheops Pyramid, Ra, Holy Grail,
King Arthur's Castle, Excaliber, Guinevere Castle,
Elaine Castle, Masonic Temple, Freya Castle,
Dragon Head, Little Dragon, Thor Temple,
Zoraster Temple, Manu Temple, Buddha Temple,
Deva Temple, Confucius Temple, Krishna Temple,
Angels Gate, Solomon Temple, Sheba Temple,

Tabernacle, Roma Shrine, Brahma Temple,
Vishnu Temple, Shiva Temple, Vesta Temple,
Diana Temple, Apollo Temple, Venus Temple,
Jupiter Temple, Juno Temple, Pollux Temple,
Castor Temple.

An inquiry into the history of those fellows who named the geographical
spots in the Grand Canyon will tell you that they were named by the early
explorers, and the names they chose reflected areas or periods of history
and deities they had special interests in. That I can accept (on the surface).

But then I have to ask myself, if we accept the reality of the Global
Grid System, and the CODE,

and we accept the reality that over 80,000 sacred sites, monoliths,
stone circles, mounds, kivas, temples, cathedrals and churches were built
on the nodal points of this grid system, over a period of several thousand
years, by people and cultures of extremely different mind sets, different
beliefs and myths, different everything (on the surface), what "prompted"
or motivated the shamans, priests, architects and builders to place their
structures on these exact locations? At certain locations these structures
are built over other long abandoned, ruined sites and temples even more
ancient. If we accept that reality, then we also must ask if that
same "force" or "prompting" or "sub-conscious motivation" was at work with
the men who named these sites within the Grand Canyon ( if indeed we find
evidence that these locations are also linked to the World Grid somehow
). Are there sources in the deep mind (that perhaps the ancients personified
as deities) that release, under certain conditions, knowledge and information
normally not obtainable? If it is non-linear information, then left-brain,
rational linear thinking alone cannot process it completely or accurately.
Are the myths and deities of the ancients their way of describing the 'prompts'
of the deep mind and higher self? And are not possibly the names of these
geographical areas in the Grand Canyon a "prompt" to gain our attention?

Very much food for thought. And I suspect this food is actually a 'bread'.
I believe we are on a cosmic bread-crumb trail. I suspect
it is a whole-brain bread-crumb trail. (remember the analogy of
the whole-brain methodology of stereograms? where a picture pops out when
the dual functions of the brain are working in sync? and each eye must
focus on one of the two distinctly different overlaying random dot patterns
for the brain to interpret?) http://www.sirds.com/

I am also reminded here of the only hieroglyph in the entire
structure of the Great Pyramid (excluding the cartouche of Cheops in the
upper regions above the King's Chamber, probably left by workers during
Cheops' reign). It is the hieroglyph for bread! It is
located somewhere just before you enter the King's Chamber that contains
the initiation sarcophagus.

(here I must humbly admit that the concept of "bread-crumb trail" came
from my wife...just ask her)

At this point I begin to think of our research as the development of
Geomantic Cartology. I am beginning to view what we are doing
is learning a language of Mother Earth. (Isis is a mother goddess) Can
it be that we are just beginning to see and understand a language, of sorts,
made up of lines of force, like a vast geometric,crystalline-like network
of energies, that the ancients were compelled to respond to sub-consciously
or unconsciously over the many centuries of their temple building? And
were some perhaps capable of 'tuning' into that language through the different
methodologies through ritual, chant, dance, trance, or even psycho-active
ingestion? Are we just now becoming aware, through our evolved left-brain
function, of the energy grid that was once only sensed sub-consciously,
or intuitively, or as an evocation of the pantheon of gods?

Can it be that "numbers are the links pointing the
way to potential understanding of the unified field"? (a quote from
Michael Lawrence Morton) If the numbers are the links, then is not the
geometry the graphic picture of the numbers? In our age it seems obvious
that our left-brain math and geometry, if melded to the right-brain
intuition, is our key to the language of Mother Earth.

Once we begin to understand that language, of what will she speak ?

We believe we know. But we will let you see for yourself as this story
unfolds in real time.

<HR WIDTH="100%">

SYNOPSIS of the CODE found in Tower of Ra:

36-08-27 North

143-20-8.809174825 West of Giza

36 x 8 x 27 = 7776 N

143 x 20 x 8.809174825 = 25194.24 WG

Grid Point Value = 25194.24 / 7776 = 3.24

The North latitude (7776) is exactly the same as that of Isis Temple....their
distance North of the equator is exactly the same. The line between
Isis Temple and the Tower of Ra forms a perfect parallel line with the
equator. This tells me that this might be a unit of measure (between Isis
Ra) to be used later with the continuing geometry. It also might
be a unit of measure for a radius or diameter of a circle. Or a unit of
measure of a triangle or square. We'll see later, but it seems very significant
for the geometry aspect already at this point of the investigation.

In the Egyptian pantheon of gods, Ra is the creator god, shown with
a human body and a falcon's head. Resting on his head is a sun disc, encircled
by a cobra. Ra is said to be self created, and he created humankind
from his tears. The sun was considerd his body or his eye. Recall
that Osiris is the husband of Isis, and that Osiris also exists in the
Grand canyon. In fact, Isis, Osiris, and Ra form a triangle in the
geometry of their location, with no other locations/deities within that
triangle. Here is a link to short synopsis of the major Egyptian deities:
http://osiris.colorado.edu/lab/gods/index.html

More on that as this unfolds.

For this next part please note that I had mentioned to Michael
to keep in mind Nineveh's Constant. Because I knew somewhere along
the line there would be a DNA connection to all this. See the next
link for info.
www.ascension2000.com/convergence/9905.html Nineveh Constant
is

195,955,200,000, or rounded off, 19.5 x 10
to the tenth power. (Keep 19.5 filed away for later)

And also note that 1959552 is a decimal harmonic of Nineveh's Constant.
What is Nineveh's Constant? short answer: it is a number that was found
in the ancient Library of a King Assurbanipal, an Assyrian/Summerian
King, in the capitol of Assyria, also known as Nineveh. Sumer was at a
peak of its civilization over 6000 years ago. By using this
number one can calculate, down to the exact second, the time it
takes any celestial object, comet or planet in the Solar System
to complete one full circuit around the Sun! short answer.

1959552 / 3.24 = 604800 (Nineveh Constant harmonic divided
by Ra grid point value)

604800 / 25920 = 23.33333333 (result divided by Earth's equinox precession
cycle in years)

23.3333333 / 7.3333333 = ( 10 / Pi ) (here, the 23.33333333 figure
is being divided by the DNA/RNA "un-zip angle" of 7.33333333 arc-degrees
[see Buckminister Fuller] resulting in a form [reciprocal, times 10] of
the classic approximation of the Pi constant [22 / 7] )

It is important to note that the numbers and equations relating to Pi
and Radian (deg.) etc. 'prompt' us to the perfect concepts of the circle
, and in sacred geometry one of the axioms is : God is a circle, whose
circumference is nowhere (infinite, limitless) and whose center
is everywhere (holographic).

"We aint in Kansas anymore!"

Keep in mind that it does not matter if we are mixing up units
of measure. In this methodology it is actually part of the process,
because we are following the numbers as links, not the units
of measure.

In other words: let's say we are lost in a forest and trying to find
our way through, following vague paths here and there. We come to a fork
in the path we are on and wonder which way to turn. Then we notice on one
path there are 3 marshmallows. We follow that path. Then we come upon 6
pencils in the path. We continue on and then discover 12 spools of thread.
At this point we feel confident that we are on a path that has been traveled
before by folks of our likeness. We also figure out that that the NUMBERS
of the items has some significance and realize it is a binary sequence.
3, 6, 12 etc. If this sequence continues we can safely assume that the
next number of items will be 24.

It does not matter what the items are, it is the numbers that
start to make more sense and seem to have more significance than
the items themselves. Although it was the items that caught our attention
initially. We feel confident that there is intelligence and purpose behind
the numbers (obviously moreso than the items themselves at this point)
and also that we are on a path that will bring us through the forest, and
at the same time, bring our attention to a set of parameters that
we had not encountered before, but will surely enhance our potential somehow.
Here we begin to wonder what the significance of the numbers are, and what
the message is. Curiouser and curiouser.

The following is an intriguing article entitled "Archeological

Coverups", by David Hatcher Childress in the above NEXUS magazine.

Following that is a newspaper article from a 1909 newspaper

indicating a bizarre suppressed find in the Grand Canyon area.

It indicates either a hoax published at the time OR that the

Smithsonian and/or the government is covering up details of past

archeological discoveries that would rock current understanding of

the past.

Despite KeelyNet being primarily a science based board, this article

intrigues us because of the similarity in information suppression to

"protect the people"....this would appear to be the reason WHY we

don't have working free energy and anti-grav devices as well as

absolute cures for most terminal diseases.

If, after reading the article and the attached newspaper file, you

decide to investigate the matter further, we here at KeelyNet would

appreciate you sharing your findings with either/or Mr. Childress at

the World Explorers Club or us here at KeelyNet. Thanks...>>> Jerry

Archeological Coverups?

Most of us are familiar with the last scene in the popular Indiana

Jones archeological adventure film RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK in which

an important historical artefact, the Ark of the Covenant from the

Temple in Jerusalem, is locked in a crate and put in a giant

warehouse, never to be seen again, thus ensuring that no history

books will have to be rewritten and no history professor will have

to revise the lecture that he has been giving for the last forty

years.

While the film was fiction, the scene in which an important ancient

relic is buried in a warehouse is uncomfortably close to reality for

many researchers. To those who investigate allegations of

archaeological cover-ups, there are disturbing indications that the

most important archaeological institute in the United States, the

Smithsonian Institute, an independent federal agency, has been

actively suppressing some of the most interesting and important

archaeological discoveries made in the Americas.

The Vatican has been long accused of keeping artefacts and ancient

books in their vast cellars, without allowing the outside world

access to them. These secret treasures, often of a controversial

historical or religious nature, are allegedly suppressed by the

Catholic Church because they might damage the church's credibility,

or perhaps cast their official texts in doubt. Sadly, there is

overwhelming evidence that something very similar is happening with

the Smithsonian Institution.

The cover-up and alleged suppression of archaeological evidence

began in late 1881 when John Wesley Powell, the geologist famous for

exploring the Grand Canyon, appointed Cyrus Thomas as the director

of the Eastern Mound Division of the Smithsonian Institution's

Bureau of Ethnology.

When Thomas came to the Bureau of Ethnology he was a

"pronounced believer in the existence of a race of Mound Builders,

distinct from the American Indians."

However, John Wesley Powell, the director of the Bureau of

Ethnology, a very sympathetic man toward the American Indians, had

lived with the peaceful Winnebago Indians of Wisconsin for many

years as a youth and felt that American Indians were unfairly

thought of as primitive and savage.

The Smithsonian began to promote the idea that Native Americans, at

that time being exterminated in the Indian Wars, were descended from

advanced civilisations and were worthy of respect and protection.

They also began a program of suppressing any archaeological evidence

that lent credence to the school of thought known as Diffusionism, a

school which believes that throughout history there has been

widespread dispersion of culture and civilisation via contact by

ship and major trade routes.

The Smithsonian opted for the opposite school, known as

Isolationism. Isolationism holds that most civilisations are

isolated from each other and that there has been very little contact

between them, especially those that are separated by bodies of

water. In this intellectual war that started in the 1880s, it was

held that even contact between the civilisations of the Ohio and

Mississippi Valleys were rare, and certainly these civilisations did

not have any contact with such advanced cultures as the Mayas,

Toltecs, or Aztecs in Mexico and Central America. By Old World

standards this is an extreme, and even ridiculous idea, considering

that the river system reached to the Gulf of Mexico and these

civilisations were as close as the opposite shore of the gulf. It

was like saying that cultures in the Black Sea area could not have

had contact with the Mediterranean.

When the contents of many ancient mounds and pyramids of the Midwest

were examined, it was shown that the history of the Mississippi

River Valleys was that of an ancient and sophisticated culture that

had been in contact with Europe and other areas. Not only that, the

contents of many mounds revealed burials of huge men, sometimes

seven or eight feet tall, in full armour with swords and sometimes

huge treasures.

(Vangard note..>Eastern Indian texts say that at one time men lived

thousands of years and grew very tall in direct proportion to their

age, as does the Bible with the comment "and there were GIANTS in

the earth in those days...")

For instance, when Spiro Mound in Oklahoma was excavated in the

1930's, a tall man in full armour was discovered along with a pot of

thousands of pearls and other artefacts, the largest such treasure

so far documented. The whereabouts of the man in armour is unknown

and it is quite likely that it eventually was taken to the

Smithsonian Institution.

In a private conversation with a well-known historical researcher

(who shall remain nameless), I was told that a former employee of

the Smithsonian, who was dismissed for defending the view of

diffusionism in the Americas (i.e. the heresy that other ancient

civilisations may have visited the shores of North and South America

during the many millenia before Columbus), alleged that the

Smithsonian at one time had actually taken a barge full of unusual

artefacts out into the Atlantic and dumped them in the ocean.

Though the idea of the Smithsonian' covering up a valuable

archaeological find is difficult to accept for some, there is,

sadly, a great deal of evidence to suggest that the Smithsonian

Institution has knowingly covered up and 'lost' important

archaeological relics. The STONEWATCH NEWSLETTER of the Gungywamp

Society in Connecticut, which researches megalithic sites in New

England, had a curious story in their Winter 1992 issue about stone

coffins discovered in 1892 in Alabama which were sent to the

Smithsonian Institution and then 'lost'. According to the

newsletter, researcher Frederick J. Pohl wrote an intriguing letter

in 1950 to the late Dr. T.C. Lethbridge, a British archaeologist.

The letter from Pohl stated, "A professor of geology sent me a

reprint (of the) Smithsonian Institution, THE CRUMF BURIAL CAVE by

Frank Burns, US Geological Survey, from the report of the US

National Museum for 1892, pp 451-454, 1984. In the Crumf Cave,

southern branch of the Warrior River, in Murphy's Valley, Blount

County, Alabama, accessible from Mobile Bay by river, were coffins

of wood hollowed out by fire, aided by stone or copper chisels.

Either of these coffins were taken to the Smithsonian. They were

about 7.5 feet long, 14" to 18" wide, 6" to 7" deep. Lids open.

"I wrote recently to the Smithsonian, and received a reply March

11th from F.M. Setzler, Head Curator of Department of Anthropology

(He said) 'We have not been able to find the specimens in our

collections, though records show that they were received."

David Barron, President of the Gungywamp Society was eventually told

by the Smithsonian in 1992 that the coffins were actually wooden

troughs and that they could not be viewed anyway because they were

housed in an asbestos-contaminated warehouse. This warehouse was to

be closed for the next ten years and no one was allowed in except

the Smithsonian personnel!

Ivan T. Sanderson, a well-known zoologist and frequent guest on

Johnny Carson's TONIGHT SHOW in the 1960s (usually with an exotic

animal with a pangolin or a lemur), once related a curious story

about a letter he received regarding an engineer who was stationed

on the Aleutian island of Shemya during World War II. While

building an airstrip, his crew bulldozed a group of hills and

discovered under several sedimentary layers what appeared to be

human remains. The Alaskan mound was in fact a graveyard of

gigantic human remains, consisting of crania and long leg bones.

The crania measured from 22 to 24 inches from base to crown. Since

an adult skull normally measures about eight inches from back to

front, such a large crania would imply an immense size for a

normally proportioned human. Furthermore, every skull was said to

have been neatly trepanned (a process of cutting a hole in the upper

portion of the skull).

In fact, the habit of flattening the skull of an infant and forcing

it to grow in an elongated shape was a practice used by ancient

Peruvians, the Mayas, and the Flathead Indians of Montana. Sanderson

tried to gather further proof, eventually receiving a letter from

another member of the unit who confirmed the report. The letters

both indicated that the Smithsonian Institution had collected the

remains, yet nothing else was heard. Sanderson seemed convinced

that the Smithsonian Institution had received the bizarre relics,

but wondered why they would not release the data. He asks, "...is

it that these people cannot face rewriting all the textbooks?"

In 1944 an accidental discovery of an even more controversial nature

was made by Waldemar Julsrud at Acambaro, Mexico. Acambaro is in

the state of Guanajuato, 175 miles northwest of Mexico City. The

strange archaeological site there yielded over 33,500 objects of

ceramic;stone, including jade; and knives of obsidian (sharper than

steel and still used today in heart surgery). Jalsrud, a prominent

local German merchant, also found statues ranging from less than an

inch to six feet in length depicting great reptiles, some of them in

ACTIVE ASSOCIATION with humans - generally eating them, but in some

bizarre statuettes an erotic association was indicated. To

observers many of these creatures resembled dinosaurs.

Jalsrud crammed this collection into twelve rooms of his expanded

house. There startling representations of Negroes, Orientals, and

bearded Caucasians were included as were motifs of Egyptians,

Sumerian and other ancient non-hemispheric civilisations, as well as

portrayals of Bigfoot and aquatic monsterlike creatures, weird

human-animal mixtures, and a host of other inexplicable creations.

Teeth from an extinct Ice Age horse, the skeleton of a mammoth, and

a number of human skulls were found at the same site as the ceramic

artefacts.

Radio-carbon dating in the laboratories of the University of

Pennsylvania and additional tests using the thermoluminescence

method of dating pottery were performed to determine the age of the

objects. Results indicated the objects were made about 6,500 years

ago, around 4,500 BC. A team of experts at another university,

shown Jalrud's half-dozen samples but unaware of their origin, ruled

out the possibility that they could have been modern reproductions.

However, they fell silent when told of their controversial source.

In 1952, in an effort to debunk this weird collection which was

gaining a certain amount of fame, American archaeologist Charles C.

DiPeso claimed to have minutely examined the then 32,000 pieces

within not more than four hours spent at the home of Julsrud. In a

forthcoming book, long delayed by continuing developments in his

investigation, archaeological investigator John H. Tierney, who has

lectured on the case for decades, points out that to have done that

DiPeso would have had to have inspected 133 pieces per minute

steadily for four hours, whereas in actuality, it would have

required weeks merely to have separated the massive jumble of

exhibits and arranged them properly for a valid evaluation.

Tierney, who collaborated with the later Professor Hapgood, the late

William N. Russell, and others in the investigation, charges that

the Smithsonian Institution and other archaeological authorities

conducted a campaign of disinformation against the discoveries. The

Smithsonian had, early in the controversy, dismissed the entire

Acambaro collection as an elaborate hoax. Also, utilising the

Freedom of Information Act, Tierney discovered that practically the

entirety of the Smithsonian's Julsrud case files are missing.

After two expeditions to the site in 1955 and 1968, Professor

Charles Hapgood, a professor of history and anthropology at the

University of New Hampshire, recorded the results of his 18-year

investigation of Acambaro in a privately printed book entitled

MYSTERY IN ACAMBARO. Hapgood was initially an open-minded skeptic

concerning the collection but became a believer after his first

visit in 1955, at which time he witnessed some of the figures being

excavated and even dictated to the diggers where he wanted them to

dig.

Adding to the mind-boggling aspects of this controversy is the fact

that the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia, through the

late Director of PreHispanic Monuments, Dr. Eduardo Noguera, (who,

as head of an official investigating team at the site, issued a

report which Tierney will be publishing), admitted "the apparent

scientific legality with which these objects wer found." Despite

evidence of their own eyes, however, officials declared that because

of the objects 'fantastic' nature, they had to have been a hoax

played on Julsrud!

A disappointed but ever-hopeful Julsrud died. His house was sold

and the collection put in storage. The collection is not currently

open to the public.

Perhaps the most amazing suppression of all is the excavation of an

Egyptian tomb by the Smithsonian itself in Arizona. A lengthy front

page story of the PHOENIX GAZETTE on 5 April 1909 (follows this

article), gave a highly detailed report of the discovery and

excavation of a rock-cut vault by an expedition led by a Professor

S.A. Jordan of the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian, however, claims to

have absolutely no knowledge of the discovery or its discoverers.

The World Explorers Club decided to check on this story by calling

the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., though we felt there was little

chance of getting any real information. After speaking briefly to

an operator, we were transferred to a Smithsonian staff

archaeologist, and a woman's voice came on the phone and identified

herself.

I told her that I was investigating a story from a 1909 Phoenix

newspaper article about the Smithsonian Institution's having

excavated rock-cut vaults in the Grand Canyon where Egyptian

artefacts had been discovered, and whether the Smithsonian

Institution could give me any more information on the subject.

"Well, the first thing I can tell you, before we go any further,"

she said, "is that no Egyptian artefacts of any kind have ever been

found in North or South America. Therefore, I can tell you that the

Smithsonian Institute has never been involved in any such

excavations." She was quite helpful and polite but, in the end,

knew nothing. Neither she nor anyone else with whom I spoke could

find any record of the discovery or either G.E. Kinkaid and

Professor S.A. Jordan.

While it cannot be discounted that the entire story is an elaborate

newspaper hoax, the fact that it was on the front page, named the

prestigious Smithsonian Institution, and gave a highly detailed

story that went on for several pages, lends a great deal to its

credibility. It is hard to believe such a story could have come out

of thin air.

Is the Smithsonian Institution covering up an archaeological

discovery of immense importance? If this story is true it would

radically change the current view that there was no transoceanic

contact in pre-Columbian times, and that all American Indians, on

both continents, are descended from Ice Age explorers who came

across the Bering Strait. (Any information on G.E. Kinkaid and

Professor S.A. Jordan, or their alleged discoveries, that readers

may have would be greatly appreciated.....write to Childress at the

World Explorers Club at the above address.)

Is the idea that ancient Egyptians came to the Arizona area in the

ancient past so objectionable and preposterous that it must be

covered up? Perhaps the Smithsonian Institution is more interested

in maintaining the status quo than rocking the boat with astonishing

new discoveries that overturn previously accepted academic

teachings.

Historian and linguist Carl Hart, editor of WORLD EXPLORER, then

obtained a hiker's map of the Grand Canyon from a bookstore in

Chicago. Poring over the map, we were amazed to see that much of

the area on the north side of the canyon has Egyptian names. The

area around Ninety-four Mile Creek and Trinity Creek had areas (rock

formations, apparently) with names like Tower of Set, Tower of Ra,

Horus Temple, Osiris Temple, and Isis Temple. In the Haunted Canyon

area were such names as the Cheops Pyramid, the Buddha Cloister,

Buddha Temple, Manu Temple and Shiva Temple. Was there any

relationship between these places and the alleged Egyptian

discoveries in the Grand Canyon?

We called a state archaeologist at the Grand Canyon, and were told

that the early explorers had just liked Egyptian and Hindu names,

but that it was true that this area was off limits to hikers or

other visitors, "because of dangerous caves."

Indeed, this entire area with the Egyptian and Hindu place names in

the Grand Canyon is a forbidden zone - no one is allowed into this

large area.

We could only conclude that this was the area where the vaults were

located. Yet today, this area is curiously off-limits to all hikers

and even, in large part, park personnel.

I believe that the discerning reader will see that if only a small

part of the "Smithsoniangate" evidence is true, then our most

hallowed archaeological institution has been actively involved in

suppressing evidence for advanced American cultures, evidence for

ancient voyages of various cultures to North America, evidence for

anomalistic giants and other oddball artefacts, and evidence that

tends to disprove the official dogma that is now the history of

North America.

The Smithsonian's Board of Regents still refuses to open its

meetings to the news media or the public. If Americans were ever

allowed inside the 'nation's attic', as the Smithsonian has been

called, what skeletons might they find?

EXPLORATIONS IN GRAND CANYON

Mysteries of Immense Rich Cavern being brought to light

Jordan is enthused

Remarkable finds indicate ancient people migrated from Orient

The latest news of the progress of the explorations of what is now

regarded by scientists as not only the oldest archeological

discovery in the United States, but one of the most valuable in the

world, which was mentioned some time ago in the Gazette, was brought

to the city yesterday by G.E. Kinkaid, the explorer who found the

great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip from

Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado, in a wooden boat, to Yuma,

several months ago.

According to the story related to the Gazette by Mr. Kinkaid, the

archaelogists of the Smithsonian Institute, which is financing the

expeditions, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove

that the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid

rock by human hands, was of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt,

tracing back to Ramses. If their theories are borne out by the

translation of the tablets engraved with heiroglyphics, the mystery

of the prehistoric peoples of North America, their ancient arts, who

they were and whence they came, will be solved. Egypt and the Nile,

and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical chain

running back to ages which staggers the wildest fancy of the

fictionist.

A Thorough Examination

Under the direction of Prof. S. A. Jordan, the Smithsonian Institute

is now prosecuting the most thorough explorations, which will be

continued until the last link in the chain is forged. Nearly a mile

underground, about 1480 feet below the surface, the long main

passage has been delved into, to find another mammoth chamber from

which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes of a wheel.

Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways

running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for

854 feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles

which have never been known as native to this country, and doubtless

they had their origin in the orient. War weapons, copper

instruments, sharp-edged and hard as steel, indicate the high state

of civilization reached by these strange people. So interested have

the scientists become that preparations are being made to equip the

camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased to

thirty or forty persons.

Mr. Kinkaid's Report

Mr. Kinkaid was the first white child born in Idaho and has been an

explorer and hunter all his life, thirty years having been in the

service of the Smithsonian Institute. Even briefly recounted, his

history sounds fabulous, almost grotesque.

"First, I would impress that the cavern is nearly inaccessible. The

entrance is 1,486 feet down the sheer canyon wall. It is located on

government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty

of trespass. The scientists wish to work unmolested, without fear

of archeological discoveries being disturbed by curio or relic

hunters.

A trip there would be fruitless, and the visitor would be sent on

his way. The story of how I found the cavern has been related, but

in a paragraph: I was journeying down the Colorado river in a boat,

alone, looking for mineral. Some forty-two miles up the river from

the El Tovar Crystal canyon, I saw on the east wall, stains in the

sedimentary formation about 2,000 feet above the river bed. There

was no trail to this point, but I finally reached it with great

difficulty.

Above a shelf which hid it from view from the river, was the mouth

of the cave. There are steps leading from this entrance some thirty

yards to what was, at the time the cavern was inhabited, the level

of the river. When I saw the chisel marks on the wall inside the

entrance, I became interested, securing my gun and went in. During

that trip I went back several hundred feet along the main passage

till I came to the crypt in which I discovered the mummies. One of

these I stood up and photographed by flashlight. I gathered a

number of relics, which I carried down the Colorado to Yuma, from

whence I shipped them to Washington with details of the discovery.

Following this, the explorations were undertaken.

The Passages

"The main passageway is about 12 feet wide, narrowing to nine feet

toward the farther end. About 57 feet from the entrance, the first

side-passages branch off to the right and left, along which, on both

sides, are a number of rooms about the size of ordinary living rooms

of today, though some are 30 by 40 feet square. These are entered

by oval-shaped doors and are ventilated by round air spaces through

the walls into the passages. The walls are about three feet six

inches in thickness.

The passages are chiseled or hewn as straight as could be laid out

by an engineer. The ceilings of many of the rooms converge to a

center. The side-passages near the entrance run at a sharp angle

from the main hall, but toward the rear they gradually reach a right

angle in direction.

The Shrine

"Over a hundred feet from the entrance is the cross-hall, several

hundred feet long, in which are found the idol, or image, of the

people's god, sitting cross-legged, with a lotus flower or lily in

each hand. The cast of the face is oriental, and the carving this

cavern. The idol almost resembles Buddha, though the scientists are

not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into

consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that this

worship most resembles the ancient people of Tibet.

Surrounding this idol are smaller images, some very beautiful in

form; others crooked-necked and distorted shapes, symbolical,

probably, of good and evil. There are two large cactus with

protruding arms, one on each side of the dais on which the god

squats. All this is carved out of hard rock resembling marble. In

the opposite corner of this cross-hall were found tools of all

descriptions, made of copper. These people undoubtedly knew the

lost art of hardening this metal, which has been sought by chemicals

for centureis without result. On a bench running around the

workroom was some charcoal and other material probably used in the

process. There is also slag and stuff similar to matte, showing

that these ancients smelted ores, but so far no trace of where or

how this was done has been discovered, nor the origin of the ore.

"Among the other finds are vases or urns and cups of copper and

gold, made very artistic in design. The pottery work includes

enameled ware and glazed vessels. Another passageway leads to

granaries such as are found in the oriental temples. They contain

seeds of varous kinds. One very large storehouse has not yet been

entered, as it is twelve feet high and can be reached only from

above. Two copper hooks extend on the edge, which indicates that

some sort of ladder was attached. These granaries are rounded, as

the materials of which they are constructed, I think, is a ver hard

cement. A gray metal is also found in this cavern, which puzzles

the scientists, for its identity has not been established. It

resembles platinum. Strewn promiscuously over the floor everywhere

are what people call "cats eyse', a yellow stone of no great value.

Each one is engraved with the head of the Malay type.

The Hieroglyphics

"On all the urns, or walls over doorways , and tablets of stone

which were found by the image are the mysterious hieroglyphics, the

key to which the Smithsonian Institute hopes yet to discover. The

engraving on the tables probably has something to do with the

religion of the people. Similar hieroglyphics have been found in

southern Arizona. Among the pictorial writings, only two animals

are found. One is of prehistoric type.

The Crypt

"The tomb or crypt in which the mummies were found is one of the

largest of the chambers, the walls slanting back at an angle of

about 35 degrees. On these are tiers of mummies, each one occupying

a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench, on

which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords. Some of the

mummies are covered with clay, and all are wrapped in a bark fabric.

The urns or cups on the lower tiers are crude, while as the higher

shelves are reached, the urns are finer in design, showing a later

stage of civilization. It is worthy of note that all the mummies

examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being

buried here. This leads to the belief that this exterior section

was the warriors' barracks.

"Among the discoveries no bones of animals have been found, no

skins, no clothing, no bedding. Many of the rooms are bare but for

water vessels. One room, about 40 by 700 feet, was probably the

main dining hall, for cooking utensils are found here. What these

people lived on is a problem, though it is presumed that they came

south in the winter and farmed in the valleys, going back north in

the summer.

Upwards of 50,000 people could have lived in the caverns

comfortably. One theory is that the present Indian tribes found in

Arizona are descendants of the serfs or slaves of the people which

inhabited the cave. Undoubtedly a good many thousands of years

before the Christian era, a people lived here which reached a high

stage of civilization. The chronology of human history is full of

gaps. Professor Jordan is much enthused over the discoveries and

believes that the find will prove of incalculable value in

archeological work.

"One thing I have not spoken of, may be of interest. There is one

chamber of the passageway to which is not ventilated, and when we

approached it a deadly, snaky smell struck us. Our light would not

penetrate the gloom, and until stronger ones are available we will

not know what the chamber contains. Some say snakes, but other

boo-hoo this idea and think it may contain a deadly gas or chemicals

used by the ancients. No sounds are heard, but it smells snaky just

the same. The whole underground installation gives one of shaky

nerves the creeps. The gloom is like a weight on one's shoulders,

and our flashlights and candles only make the darkness blacker.

Imagination can revel in conjectures and ungodly daydreams back

through the ages that have elapsed till the mind reels dizzily in

space."

An Indian Legend

In connection with this story, it is notable that among the Hopi

Indians the tradition is told that their ancestors once lived in an

underworld in the Grand Canyon till dissension arose between the

good and the bad, the people of one heart and the people of two

hearts. Machetto, who was their chief, counseled them to leave the

underworld, but there was no way out. The chief then caused a tree

to grow up and pierce the roof of the underworld, and then the

people of one heart climbed out. They tarried by Paisisvai (Red

River), which is the Colorado, and grew grain and corn.

They sent out a message to the Temple of the Sun, asking the

blessing of peace, good will and rain for people of one heart. That

messenger never returned, but today at the Hopi villages at sundown

can be seen the old men of the tribe out on the housetops gazing

toward the sun, looking for the messenger. When he returns, their

lands and ancient dwelling place will be restored to them. That is

the tradition.

Among the engravings of animals in the cave is seen the image of a

heart over the spot where it is located. The legend was learned by

W.E. Rollins, the artist, during a year spent with the Hopi Indians.

There are two theories of the origin of the Egyptians. One is that

they came from Asia; another that the racial cradle was in the upper

Nile region. Heeren, an Egyptologist, believed in the Indian origin

of the Egyptians. The discoveries in the Grand Canyon may throw

further light on human evolution and prehistoric ages.

Two websites

Here's two website I stumbled upon. The first claims to the "The Authority" on the Grand Canyon cavern. Not sure when, but, the site states that he is going to be releasing a book on what his findings.

http://www.mysteriousarizona.com/index.html

The next site is more alien specific in regards to the general southwest area. Compares landmarks to the constellation Orion. There's quite a bit about the petroglyphs and lore speaking of a race of underground "ant people" who came from another planet.
