Start with the basics..a list for you

From Sxxxxxxxxxx:

What kind of gear do you have for the basics? Do you have clean air, water, and food (in that order of importance to live) to make it in hard times?

Do you have....

# Air..Do you have N100 masks, NBC gas masks, and a filtration safe room set up for bio or chemical emergencies with enough supplies to last for several waves of infection or contamination?

# Water..Do you store and rotate clean water for every member of your family for several waves of emergencies? Can you purify water and treat water at home or on the road?

# Food..Do you have enough food for 3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, or a year? Store what you eat. Eat what you store.

# Shelter..Do you plan to stay at home or bug out in extremely bad times? Can you stay at either place in case of NBC attacks? Do you have a serious NBC shelter for attacks or storms? Do you have these places mapped out with more than one way of getting to and from them? Does your family have a copy? Have you practiced these routes?

# Alternative power..Can you run your lights off the grid? What about your freezer, heater, computer, HAM equipment, medical equipment, and so on? Do you have solar panels, marine batteries, generator, inverters, and so on? Do you have spare parts? Do you know when quiet power is best and can you produce it?

# Communications..Do you have things such as HAM radio, satellite phone, CBs for your vehicles...and so on?

# Fuel..Do you have enough to run your alternative power, heaters, fireplaces, and vehicles? Appliances for 3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months. Is it renewable power?

# Protection..Can you protect your loved ones and keep what you have worked so hard to store? Do you have plenty of extra parts and ammo for each weapon?

# Bug out gear..Do you keep well-stocked bug out bags and gear? Do you have a bug out trailer or vehicle that stays stocked and ready to go? Do you rotate properly?

# Have you thought about keeping a Ticket at other team member's houses or at a trusted friends house?

and most importantly ...

IS YOUR FAMILY CPR CERTIFIED?

DO YOU HAVE BACK UPS FOR YOUR BACK UPS?

DO YOU HAVE SUPPLIES CACHED ON THE WAY TO YOUR RETREAT OR IN AN AREA NEAR YOUR HOME (in case you cannot get to your home's supplies. Never keep all your supplies in one place in case of fire, storm, or disaster).

CAN YOUR FAMILY OPERATE YOUR EQUIPMENT IF YOU ARE NOT THERE OR YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO?

DO YOU HAVE PRACTICED DISASTER PLANS FOR GETTING HOME TO BUGGING OUT?
